I travel, work hard and listen to books in my commute to and from work. Finding books that I wouldn't have time to read easy to listen to.

Rachel Stone is a widow and single mother, broke and alone. Worse, her late husband, a televangelist, stole five million dollars, none of which came to her. Nor did she know about the theft, but it still makes her an outcast, and she is desperate. Then she meets Gabriel Bonner, who gives her a job. Romantic sparks fly, but love is never easy. Gabriel has a tragic loss of his own, and his family, fearing Rachel's motives, campaigns loudly against her.

I have listened to thousands of audio authors and Susan Elizabeth Phillips is great. I feel that I know each character. The books are engaging and poignant. I laugh out loud and smile while driving to and from my job. I have shared experiences with the characters. A must read...

Where does 1Q84 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

A bit of everything, it will stay with you for a long time. I will read more of murakamis books the translators enjoyed several of his writings and I also want to continue with his works.
    Enjoyable and entertaining

What was one of the most memorable moments of 1Q84?

I loved how the littlle people described the muza and the datr and throughout the story they kept the sound of those words.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

I thought the voice changes with different charaters was unique.

If you could rename 1Q84, what would you call it?

    Maybe Ah'mommy.

    Any additional comments?

Thank you for sharing a few quality hours with me.

Nicole Krauss' first novel, Man Walks Into a Room, was shortlisted for the Los Angeles Times Book Award and her short fiction has been collected in Best American Short Stories. Now The History of Love proves Krauss is among our finest and freshest literary voices.

Kathryn Lunetta says: "Beautiful story, beautifully written."

I couldn't even get through this exhausting and most times boring recital of an old, sad man's life. Not very funny or sad or interesting.
