The narrator's voice was just wrong for the protagonist- he was a decent guy who was given such a rough voicing that it was hard to keep listening
The ending was a little predictable
When the lead charactor stood up for Landon, the younger brother.
It was a bit hard to force myself to continue listening to the harsh voicing of the Cooper character...I was tempted to turn to the printed verrsion of this book due to the narration
I loved the inspirational messages in the reading, however, the narrator referred to lists from which the listener was to choose from and never read the information in the lists- a major flaw in an otherwise good read. Perhaps those pages could be accessed elsewhere?
The author has done a fine job fleshing out his characters, especially the Major, a man of integrity in spite of those who surround him.
What at first seems a predictible ending has a surprising twist.
Very pleasant read/listen.
