"Best book I've heard in awhile"
Hands down, the best book I've listened to this year in this genre. The narrator deserves the Oscar for this performance. The author and narrator are spot on with Bee's precociousness, Bernadette's quirkiness, Elgin's confusion and the snarkiness of of Bee's friend's parents. I found out I need a personal assistant in India. Who knew? I smiled through the whole thing. I think this is probably a better listen than read thanks to Kathleen Wilhoite.
"The Literary Version of Lost"
Could have been so great but lost me when it went off the rails and turned Sci-Fi. I thought it would just be creepy, haunted or something. Seven miles underground was too far for my imagination to go. The narrator was a little dull also. Thankfully, I didn't waste a credit on this,
"Teen romance with pain."
Is it just me? Am I the only one that didn't swoon over Fifty Shades, Hunger Games and just don't get the writing style of Wolf Hall/Bringing Up the Bodies? I feel like I'm off the loop. Basically, young girl, older guy, she can't believe he likes he, does he really like her or is he really impressed with the hardware store where she works and he does he need so many chains................I didn't make it through the first book. Oh well, I guess I'm officially old.
"Loved it!"
The first third of the book, I thought was good but not up to the hype. Then I got to the second third and it was a roller coaster ride after that. The last third, I never would have guessed. I was listening while shopping and would occasionally gasp and get strange looks from my fellow shoppers in produce. What a fun ride this book was.

"Not as great as the hype."
After all the hype, I was expecting more "gripping". The one thing that really didn't ring true was the neighbor that happened to be a psychologist well versed in OCD and that, with all the girls in London he could have dated, he falls for one with so many problems? The last few chapters were semi gripping but I thought the story itself took too long to tell.
"So adorable."
Okay, so I've saved countless dogs and support many rescue groups so, perhaps, I'm not the best person but this was right up there with The Art of Racing in the Rain. I can totally relate and was a very enjoyable listen. I loved the story and the narration.
"Why do authors insist on narrating?"
Very good story. I just happened to listen to this after Wild, both about women losing their mother at a young age. As an aside, both lost their marriages which escapes me. The mother daughter relationship is so complicated and I thought this book captured this well and I wish I could have been so eloquent with my feelings. Would have been better with another narrator.
"Not what I expected"
Too much time spent on previous assassin/attempted assassins. I wasn't looking for a history lesson. A bit of a disappointment.
"Such a disappointment!"
This book had such hype and such potential. It seemed the point would be how these people have been haunted by this horrible accident and the aftereffects changing their lives. These people started out messed up and continued to be messed up. How can you tell the accident changed their life? Also, didn't like the writing style at all. I hate wasting my points.
