In the near future, to escape the crush and clutter of a packed and polluted Earth, the world’s elite flock to Atopia, an enormous corporate-owned artificial island in the Pacific Ocean. It is there that Dr. Patricia Killiam rushes to perfect the ultimate in virtual reality: a program to save the ravaged Earth from mankind’s insatiable appetite for natural resources.

The story line was interesting but it is not one that interests me. I found all the hopping around from character to character to be a bit tedious and at times difficult to keep track . I won't read the next installments in this series.

But when a delivery goes violently wrong, Rain finds himself in the crosshairs of Japan’s most powerful yakuza clan.

Former marine sniper Dox has a score to settle, too, and working together is the only way to take Sorm out.

Another outstanding book by Barry Eisler this when does an excellent job of tying in Dox with Livia alone. While the concept of the story line is a difficult one to hear, Barry did an excellent job of bringing it to the forefront of my consciousness. Looking forward to more with these characters.

For Delilah, the Mossad's top seductress, the parameters of the assignment were routine. The contractor: MI6. The objective: infiltrate a terror network, this one operating out of London. The stakes: a series of poison gas attacks on civilian population centers. There's just one wrinkle. The target is a woman - as smart, beautiful, and committed as Delilah herself. And for a cynical operative thrust suddenly out of her element, the twists and turns of the spy game are nowhere near as dangerous as the secrets and desires of the human heart.
