Best-selling writer Orson Scott Card founded the online magazine Intergalactic Medicine Show in 2006. It has been a big success, drawing submissions from well-known science fiction and fantasy writers, as well as fostering some amazing new talents. This collection contains some of the best of those stories.

This audio book is a mix of various scifi authors. Orson Scott Card wrote several pieces and they help to fill in some of the "blanks" in the Ender's Game series. The short stories by the other authors were not bad but I mainly purchased this book because of OSC's contributions. If you can't get enough of Card's writing or Ender's story, this book is for you! If you are just a casual reader of his books and the series, this might not be worth the read. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I just started another book by Orson Scott Card. He's a great author and I hope he keeps writing for many years to come! Also, his books are some of the best when it comes to the performance of the readers!

Why we think it’s a great listen: It’s easy to say that when it comes to sci-fi you either love it or you hate it. But with Ender’s Game, it seems to be you either love it or you love it.... The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Enter Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, the result of decades of genetic experimentation.

Kapila says: "6 titles in the series so far"
"One of the best science fiction series available!"

    Story

I read this book while I was in middle school and it was even better the second time! I can't wait until the movie comes out! Not only was the story great, both of the narrators gave amazing performances! Each character had their own voice or inflection and it made the story that much more engrossing. I highly recommend this book/series to anyone who is even a tiny bit interested in science fiction. You won't be disappointed!

Based on more than 40 interviews with Jobs conducted over two years—as well as interviews with more than a hundred family members, friends, adversaries, competitors, and colleagues—Walter Isaacson has written a riveting story of the roller-coaster life and searingly intense personality of a creative entrepreneur whose passion for perfection and ferocious drive revolutionized six industries: personal computers, animated movies, music, phones, tablet computing, and digital publishing.

What made the experience of listening to Steve Jobs the most enjoyable?

Being a technology specialist and an Apple fan, I really wanted the chance to learn how one of the best companies in the world was created. It was great to hear about the ups and downs in Steve's life and how he ended up transforming so many industries. He was truly an amazing and quirky man and he will always be remembered.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The end of the book is the most moving part of the entire publication. I always fear that my career will get in the way of being with my family and the end of this book was an illustration of that point.

    Any additional comments?

I highly recommend this book to all technology and Apple fans! If you don't have an interest in either of those areas, it would be best to find a different book.
