"Well written story that belongs in the Horror Genr"
Great story!!! This was the first of Mr Goingback's books I read. All '5'? of his works are great. Now Mr. Goingback, it's time for you to start writing again! Your readers are waiting!!
"Torturous Reading!"
Okay, I admit I didn't finish this one. It was too grueling. I'll try again later but a book that shows how King has lost his touch as compared to his earlier writings.
"Good but annoying character"
This story would have been better if the main character hadn't been portrayed as such an arrogant wimp. I know, I've never come across such a character before but this one was extremely annoying.
"Great - as exected"
Part 1 (The Strain) was great. Part 1 (The Fall) was good too - perhaps not as good as part 1 but still within my top list of 'well-written' scary books.
"Okay"
This started book started a little slow. It turned out okay but very frustrating at times due to the major character asking the same questions (same doubts) throughout the story. He seemed a bit slow! He would see 'proof' that the girl 'moved' but even by the end of the story kept pondering 'did I see her move? She couldn't have moved' and on and on and on.
"Okay"
The story would have been much better without the Lesbian relationship (yuck). Don't care to hear about women attracted to each other in my horror stories.
"Real all-out horror"
GREAT Vampire story with all the scares - no need for sex, gore - and oh 'boring romance'. Okay there were more than a few spots in the novel where folks wasted time and did stupid things - but overall, this was one of the scariest audios I've listened to in a while (and I'm not one to scare easily). Now just waiting for the 2nd book... Hurry up Guillermo and Chuck don't keep us hanging!! (Oh it did start off a bit slowly but the don't let that fool ya)
