This book was difficult to finish. A disappointment, at best.
If our hero carried all the stuff he easily and handily pulls out of his overstuffed pockets and backpack, the weight of the stuff would hold him in place and the book would stop. The book is simply an expanded short story. Finally, the ending revelations only surprised the hero.
Pick any other Ludlum Title, because it is probably better.
I respect the office of Vice President; therefore my minimum rating is three stars.
It is just to dam long. If you must, get the abridged. I feel it was three downloads of ‘I Feel Pretty.' Perhaps is should be changed to ‘I Feel Petty.’
This would have been an excellent book, but her voice was awful to listen to. I reget that I did not have the patience to listen to the awful sound of narration.
Freakonomics is part very interesting and later very boring. The author starts with a few very lovely little stories which have been hidden by history. He talks about what drives a real estate agent, as if we did not know, then talks about what drives a real estate agent, and finally he talks about what drives a real estate agent. In between he reports a study or expose on crack dealers and proves that crack cocaine was a disaster for Black America. His observation of the impact of abortion on crime 15 years later is most interesting.
The book is a Nova special on statistical analysis, (specifically regression analysis).
I enjoyed much of the book, but if the battery went dead toward the end, it would not have mattered.
This one is a waste of an audible credit. I put Otis down for a week and then figured that I should hear the end no matter how tedious.
The plot hinges on extremely unlikely things happening in the nick of time. This is OK once or twice, but gets to be very disappointing.
To much goodie goodie in the characters.
The authors have there own agenda and it is not the story.
