Since 9/11, Brooklyn firefighter Griff Muir has wrestled with impossible feelings for his best friend and partner at Ladder 181, Dante Anastagio. Unfortunately, Dante is strictly a ladies’ man, and the FDNY isn’t exactly gay-friendly. For ten years, Griff has hidden his heart in a half-life of public heroics and private anguish. Griff’s caution and Dante’s cockiness make them an unbeatable team. To protect his buddy, there’s nothing Griff wouldn’t do… until a nearly bankrupt Dante proposes the worst possible solution: HotHead.com, a gay porn website where uniformed hunks get down and dirty.

What did you love best about Hot Head?

I read the book when it came out. It was awesome! Down to earth, sexy and a plain great read...

What was one of the most memorable moments of Hot Head?

The extras scene in hothead.. Whoa.. That was hott! The morning after in bed was a touching scene too.

Which character – as performed by Charlie David – was your favorite?

Since I read it before I had my own "voices" so was a bit afraid to listen. Charlie David did a great job. Not exactly what I had in mind but it became Dante and Griffin as the story began.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes but alas, life gets in the way

    Any additional comments?

I love you too. Like, I thought I'd die from it..
    Awwww

What did you love best about Lover at Last?

    Is this a trick question?

What was one of the most memorable moments of Lover at Last?

The end of the epilogue. I won't type it out since it is a spoiler even though you know it's coming. I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes! Second fave is Blay talking to him mom on the phone... I was so worried for him! ;)

Which character – as performed by Jim Frangione – was your favorite?

Again, trick question? The only characters I don't like are the lessees. Even the BOBs grew on me.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! But it's just too long. It did only take three nights and a bit of missed sleep though.

    Any additional comments?

The only thing that bugged me was the lack of "luhbe"! Ouch! A little prep goes a long way...
Thanks for another great one Warden!

The most important things in Simon Murray’s life are football, friends, and film - in that order. His friends despair of him ever meeting someone, but despite his loneliness, Simon is cautious about looking for more. Then his best friends drag him to a party, where he barges into a football conversation and ends up defending the honour of star forward Declan Tyler - unaware that the athlete is present. In that first awkward meeting, neither man has any idea they will change each other's lives forever.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

    A decent narration editor

Would you ever listen to anything by Sean Kennedy again?

It wasn't the authors fault this was terrible.

Would you be willing to try another one of Paul Morey’s performances?

It isn't the narrators fault either.

    Any additional comments?

The narration need serious editing. Every DreAmspinner Press book I have listened to in the last few months have been terrible. Clearing throats, repeating lines, drinking water. Why isn't this caught before going out? It had been in EVERY DSP book lately!
I won't buy anymore until I hear they are getting edited.
This is a shame because I hear good things about the authors.

Jory Harcourt doesn't have to go looking for trouble. Wherever he goes, it seems to find him - particularly when his partner, Sam Kage, is working undercover on a federal task force. After the recession forces him to close his business, Jory goes to work as a matchmaker and event planner. From there, it's only a matter of time before his big mouth and up-front attitude make him the rope in a tug-of-war between a trust-fund baby and a drug-smuggling criminal.

Would you consider the audio edition of Bulletproof to be better than the print version?

No. I read the series as they came out.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bulletproof?

I really enjoyed the entire book but Jory& Sam together is always great.

How could the performance have been better?

Narration. I had a hard time figuring out who was speaking. There is no deviation in tone between characters. The only other complaint I have is the awful music played in between chapters. Forget trying to relax and read this.. The music makes it impossible.

If you could take any character from Bulletproof out to dinner, who would it be and why?

    Sam. I can't say why! ;)

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

No. Giving up before half way. Love Amy Lane but this narrator is making my brain hurt.

What did you like best about this story?

Not sure yet. Going to buy ePub to finish it.

How could the performance have been better?

Some emotion would be nice. Everyone had the same "voice" with not a trace of inflection or emotion. I couldn't tell when characters changed.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

    A good narrator

    Any additional comments?

I think I said it all.

Gary Keller is enjoying a cruise with new friends when he meets Scott Haworth, and unexpected attraction flares between them. But Scott has a past he's trying to leave behind; nine months earlier he was released from prison after almost a decade. The Innocence Project and DNA evidence exonerated him of the crime, but the victim’s brother still holds him responsible.

I really enjoy Andrew Grey and was looking forward to this. It was okay until chapter 3. The narrator coughs, burps and worse, snorts phlem through the entire chapter. I didn't get any further. I notified Audible so hopefully the audio will be re-edited (or in this case edited for the first time. That being said Andrew Grey is a good author and Dreamspinner Press (where you can get the ebook) rocks. go there to buy the audio books!
Looking forward to this being fixed!

Okay I really enjoy this writer and like the book. The narrator? His main character is okay but the best friend Crane? He sounds like a Muppet!! The voices actually make the humor funnier but I admit I have not gotten to a sex scene yet. Not sure if I will be able to listen! I have already read it in ebook form so I know the story but I will say if you have an extra credit go ahead and listen. If you do not, read the book first!
