"Fantastic Read"
Another fabulous addition to the series and Holter Graham does an excellent job on the narration
"It gets better and better"
Immune picks up pretty much where The Second Ship leaves off and this one is where the wild ride takes off...we learn a lot more about both ships and the plans that Dr. Stephens has start to become clear. Heather, Jen and Mark grow up fast in this one and we see more of what their capabilities are but not really any new info about their ship.
As with the first, the narrator for this is great and make sure you have the third one ready to go, while there is not a cliff hanger at the end it's still nice to jump right to the next book.
"Keeps you at the edge of your seat"
So my mom discovered this book a couple of weeks ago and kept telling me I had to read it...I checked out the blurb and was thinking I was not really in the mood for this type of book, and kept putting it off...after a few more "have you started it yet's" and finding out it was available as an audio I decided what the hell...$2.99 for the book then I can get the audio for $1.99....and when I finally finished the first book all I was left with was WOW....
First I want to say the narrator for this one was great....this is one of those books that with the wrong narrator it would just ruin the story. Writing style wise, it really reminded me of Michael Crichtonand his novel Next, while you have your main characters that the story focuses on, there are a lot of side stories being told and occurring alongside the main story (it may sound jumbled but if you have read Next you know what I am talking about).
I don't think this is really a spoiler, but read with caution...there are no aliens, this is really about the discovery of Alien technology and what we do with what we find....and man are some of things we do scary....not much more I can say without giving spoilers...but if you are a fan of Michael Crichton, Dan Brown or other similar authors definitely give this one a shot.
"Close Liaisons"
The story itself was a good one (and would normally be a 3 to 3.5 read for me), I like Korum and would like to know more about the Krinar but I could not stand Mia....she was TSTL...to the point I was not going to finish but I received the audio for free for an honest review and so I pushed through and made it to the end. And while I am glad I finished it....Mia remained TSTL and just annoyed the hell out of me....I wanted to give it a higher rating but because Mia is a main character and so much of the story is from her perspective I can't give it the 3-3.5 stars it would have been given.
As I said, Korum was very interesting and the bits and pieces we had of him were great and I think I would have enjoyed the story more if it had been more of his POV then Mia's.
I would be interesting in trying more from this author in the future.
"Loving This Series"
I am loving this series so far and Johanna Parker is doing a great job on the narration. Some good twists and turns in this one although it was sad to loose one of the characters but then I wonder if he was really lost....and I have to say the ending on this one....if the next book was not already out...I would be very upset about having to wait to find out what happens next....off to start book 6
"Loved it!"
I am now hooked on another series (I need another series like a need a hole in the head)...I really enjoyed this one both the audio and the book. I like the parallel world, and how the histories are the same people (mostly) but different situations....I like the characters and Jace is pretty kick ass...this had everything I like, snark, humor, mystery, adventure...and Cassius....while he appears to be a "good guy" I'm still holding judgement on him...still need more background before I decide...and some of my favorite lines:

Because, as we all know, nothing solves insomnia like a nice warm glass of regret, depression, and self-loathing.
“You can bring three things with you,” the man says. He has no accent, but somehow that just reinforces the idea that he’s a foreigner. In fact, I’m sure this is the first time he’s ever been to my country. “The three things you feel are most instrumental to you doing your job. Choose carefully.” I’m pretty straightforward. I grab my handgun, my laptop, and the carton of ammunition I keep under my bed.
Ah. If whisky is the water of life, coffee is the whisky of Nirvana. “Brain . . . activating,” I mutter. “Will to live . . . returning.”
“I look over at him. He stares straight ahead.
"So," I say. "Golem, huh?"
"I prefer the term 'Mineral-American.”
“Stubborn, too?” “Yes, ma’am,” he says with a smile. “Though I prefer the term ‘option recognition deficient.’
Plausible deniability ain’t just a river in Egypt.”
"Rock Hard"
I did not like this one as much as the first book....while Sed and Jessica redeemed themselves by the end of the book, in the beginning he was just a pompous ass and she was a bitch and both were extremely childish. But as I said they did redeem themselves towards the end and I actually liked both of them by that point...
I did enjoy all the side stories of the rest of the band members, and liked seeing Brian and Myrna getting hitched.....and poor Trey had a really rough time of it in this one....I can't wait to get to his story...but I am going to read these in the intended order...not the stupid order the publisher decided to release thee series in
"Very Hot"
Wow…I liked this one as much as the first, and this is a hard one to review without giving anything away.…
Jace is HOT and while a bit broken he finally gets it (what he has, what he has missed seeing the last couple of years) at the end….what was really cool with this one was getting to see him come into his own and let the wall down a little bit at a time….Aggie was AWESOME and oh so patient…while generally in my reading I’m not a fan of Dominatrix’s, and the infliction of pain to the extent that some of her clients wanted it…it was not as “in your face” as it is in some books so it did not bother me. There were a couple of heart stopping moments when the bad luck that started with book 2 seemed to continue…there did seem to be a loose end or two but hopefully we should get those addressed in the next books
The side stories with the rest of the band members was great, it was fun to see how things were going with Brian & Myrna and Sed & Jessica and I can’t wait for Eric’s and Trey’s books.
"Sway"
At the moment this review is only for Lauren Dane's story Sway (I will get to the other eventually). I loved this one when the book first came out and I can't believe I missed when it first came out in audio. I thought it was a great introduction to the Delicious series (spin off of the Brown Siblings) . I thought the narrator did a fabulous job and of course I loved the story....I just hope the whole series eventually comes out on audio. While you don't have to read the Brown Siblings books (it is only the last book in that series where you meet the characters for the Delicious series), to "get" this one, it is a great series so recommend reading (or listening as the first three are due out in audio soon) the series just because... now back to Sway...
I loved Daisy and the relationship that evolved between her and Levi, and of course I loved seeing what was happening with all the other characters I have come to love in these books. Definitely worth a listen!
"A Good Listen"
I liked this one...and have had the e-book forever....not sure why I waited so long but. it took the audio being released to get my butt in gear to start it.
Some of it was easy to figure out early on but there were still a few twists and turns that were surprising. The narration was great...can't wait for book 2
