    I really enjoy this series of books. There is a little bit of everything in them and the action continues all though the book.

    My only complaint with this book is the exact opposite of what I said above. There are long drawn out times of nothingness, filler if you will. If you can deal with the over description that takes place than this book is excellent.

    On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when--or if--it will go away.

    This is an awesome idea and I would love to see it made into a movie...maybe. That being said, this is such a long book! There are a few times in the book you will find yourself saying: "normal people would not act/believe/do that in real life". But I guess that can be said for about any Stephen King book.

    Bottom line, if you have the time I would go for it.
