I could not make it past the first four chapters. I found it dull and uninteresting. Too many names of discoverers...who cares? Not the sort of story I would lisen to.
Too many characters I couldn't keep track of them. The story is very weak.
Reduce the number of characters and make them more human. Nobody can survive on a few hours of sleep for weeks.
Narration was okay, but inflection and tone were lacking.
Disappointed that I could not get invested in the main characters. Who cares about the backstory and ancient history of Guatamala/Maya if it doesn't relate to the current situation.
I only got less than halfway through the book before I abandoned it. It just wasn't interesting.
I got so annoyed at the narrator that I only got halfway through the book and decided I couldn't listen anymore. This narrator comes off as a grouchy, disgusted woman who never once had a positive expeience in her life. Her lovelife is in the toilet and I can see why. I think this story could have been great with another narrator. I'll never know.
A book you can't put down. Once you start you can't wait to find out what happens. Looking forward to more by this author.
