This is beautifully written and beautifully narrator. The narrator brings you into the story and keeps your interest. The story itself flows with steady stream of interest. I highly recommend it. The twist was a surprise to me, which in itself, makes it worth the read!

No. It was an average story. I did not feel the drama in this book that I have in his past books.

Probably the birthday scene. The author nailed the daughter perfectly

It is a current situation story. Yes, it does take place some years ago, but the CIA is working with terrorism and therefore, it is a current subject. I moves along, with little to no lag. Kept me listening.

the character Assad was very interesting in the way he performed his retribution on the Americans that killed his family. He was there without actually being noticed. I like that -- it made the story very compellilng

Ted Nash getting shot. I thought he was a total ass.

John Corey to the Rescue!

DeMille writes some very good books. I have read all of the John Corey books. Each one was very good. This one was one of my favorites because there was so much activity. It kept my mind jumping.

Good, confusing, suspenseful

I am not sure I had a favorite. DD seemed a little whiney this go round So maybe Alex was may favorite

It would have made a big difference if the narrator would have distinguished the voices better. I would be listening to DD Warren and the narrator would transition to the other character with out missing a beat. I was unable to notice the switch until she said her name ir relived some part of the childhood memory, etc. It was frustrating to keep having to rewind and start again with the correct character in my head. I feel like listened to this book twice and sometimes three times just to get it right -- the first time through

The story itself was a good twisted tale. Improvement from the narrator would have made the story much more enjoyable.

Entertaining, suspensful, disappointed

sneaking in the boat to get food and shooting a zombie with kill me on his apron.

He tone was straight on, the way he protrayed the various moments of hysteria

Not really an extreme reaction, but it did scare me a time or two, making me sit on the edge of my chair hoping everything turned out all right. I did hooray when he took down the gang making threats against his group.

I have never read a Zombie book until this one. I was hesitant at first but it was highly recommeded to me. I love the way it was written. While all things have to come to an end, I wish it could have gone on. But it left to the imagination who was the winner in the zombie war.

This is my first Koryta novel, but it won't be my last. I loved the performance, the style in which it was written and the book overall. This book caught my attention from the first and kept it going. I could not wait to listen to it after work, in the car, before I went to work. My husband asked if I would ever take the buds out of my ears. Cypress House was just that good to me. I liked the way the characters were built, capturing their essence was not hard to do. And while there were some things I expected, there were a lot that I didn't. Thanks for writing such a good Book Mr. Koryta.

yes. It was not hard to keep up with, which made the book most enjoyable. Once I had an idea of the danger the charaters were in, it was easier to find characters more likable.

What I truly enjoyed was the way he did the various voices. None were a stretch for me to imagine. Even Ms. Katie's voice was good, not too falsetto the way some male performers do female voices. And while this isn't really about his performance, I liked the way the additional sounds worked within the story. It was a great blend to listen too.

Wow. I have to say I would not have come across that ending on my own. I found this to be interesting and with a lot of exercise of the brain! I was first frustrated on how the story jumped around, after completing the book, would not have been able to get to point Z without going through the other points. This is my first book fo Mr. Smith. I look forward to reading another. His web drew me in completely.

This read has to be one of the most affable murder/Senate proceedings I have ever heard. Its almost as if the author made a snarky non mysterious murder. He almost makes a political statement not. The narrator made it sound like Mr. Howe from Gilligan's Island was reading this. It is a book with little depth, and makes me wonder whether this is Mr. Woods' intentional subtle statement of how Mr. Woods really sees Hollywood, and with the way this book was written, actually seems to be appropriate for its subject matter. I listened all the way through and found it a little simplistic and affable, but want you to note that although it is almost engaging (not), it doesn't reach far enough for this reader's idea of a good who dunnit.

Wow, all I can say is this is excellent. Angela took this book to a level I don't think I would have see if I were just reading it. The story is in itself interesting, but the Ms. Dawes makes the book. Her cadance and tone are perfect. Riveting, throughly enjoyed the book.

I love this series and have enjoyed the books thus far. I must say I think this one is the best in the series. I think you could walk into it without reading any of the others. Plus, Ms. Kellerman seemed to be completely on point throughout the entire book. Oh, and did I mention I love the Rina and Peter Decker series!
