Reacher's anonymity in Florida is shattered by an investigator who's come looking for him. But hours after his arrival, the stranger is murdered. Retracing the PI's trail back to New York, Reacher's compelled to find out who was looking for him and why. He never expected the reasons to be so personal - and twisted.

What did you love best about Tripwire?

Slightly different tack on the Jack Reacher series.

What did you like best about this story?

Jack comes full circle and introduces his first commanding officer character.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely but I never have that much time. I prefer the unabridged series.

    Any additional comments?

If you are a Jack Reacher fan (movie version not withstanding) you will not be dissapointed!

The story of Captain D. Michael Abrashoff and his command of USS Benfold has become legendary inside and outside the Navy. Now Abrashoff offers this fascinating tale of top-down change for anyone trying to navigate today's uncertain business seas. When Captain Abrashoff took over as commander of the Benfold, a ship armed with every cutting-edge system available, it was like a business that had all the latest technology but only some of the productivity.

What did you love best about It's Your Ship?

Positive reinforcement and the willingness of the commander to think outside the box, make logical decisions when they are not aligned with documented guidelines and to challenge his charges with taking ownership in the organization.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The author. I really liked his management style, determination to stay involved in the process and demanding performance of his charges.

What does D. Michael Abrashoff bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Michael is an engaging speaker. I bought ths book after hearing him speak at a prefessional conference I attended this winter.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were many. There is no shortage of good examples of constructive motivational leadership scenarios.

    Any additional comments?

I hate to mention anything negative but there where a few instances where I thought that decisions made to boost morale such as running the ship wide open to get to shore a few hours early might have been an unnecessary waste of my tax dollars. The topic is rather sensitive now with the current ineptitude of federal leadership. These are minor events in the book. Overall enjoyable read.

She knows it’s a fake, that her daughter is off with the guy Nita will call only “that boy,” and that they need money: "Even smart girls do stupid things when they think a boy loves them." But she is wrong....

Would you listen to The Last Detective again? Why?

Yes, after a period of time. I really like the series with a few exceptions for less than stellar narrators and would listen to most any of them again.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Last Detective?

Elvis and Joe putting it on the line during the rescue.

    Which scene was your favorite?

    The ex-husbands deception uncovered.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Just an enjoyable read that doesn't leave you feeling guilty for listening to a rediculously umbelievable storyline.

    Any additional comments?

Love the Elvis Cole, Joe Pike series.
