I can not remember when I have enjoyed a narrative more! Having been a lifelong Hepburn fan I was expecting the usual information. What a surprise! Kate does Kate very well and captured that famous spunk! The insights gleaned here make it much easier to understand why Miss Hepburn did what she did through her never a dull moment life.
Don't hesitate to get this one...it is one in a million!
Once again, the narrator brings down the book.
The continuation of the Anton Rider story leaves out a lot of the intervening years after The White Rhino and brings the reader to other parts of Africa, a war, incredible violence and a lot more of the 'soft porn'.
While I enjoy the stories I do find the narration incredibly difficult to listen to. I thought I would get used to it but, not so much.....
Yes, I WILL listen to it again just to make sure I haven't missed anything.
Yes, as all of Mr. Cussler's books do. This one went to many exotic locations with great descriptions and lots of history!
Mr. Brick is a very talented narrator. He shows just enough emotion and manages the 'speed' to the events taking place.
Yes, but it is a tad too long for that, ha!
Love the Fargos...waiting for more!
The story is compelling, the descriptions of Africa stirring and the characters well developed.
The narration, however, is tiring. Why would one choose to have such monotone with such a dramatic setting and story line?
A real shame.
Boring, monotone, over enunciated.
I enjoyed the story and would have really enjoyed it more with a different narrator.
Try this series again with a different narrator.
