"Still don't know what happened"
I bought this book for all the good reviews it received. However, I was disappointed. It was not bad, just not good either and didn't live up to the ratings. The story line was very disjointed and without a real focus. Way too long, including fictious dialog that was totally unnecessary and made it tedious at times.
"Just Horrible"
Jesus freak goes pan handling. There I just saved you wasted hours.
I have listened to 100 titles or more. This bar none is the worst I have ever tried.
"Why the high reviews?"
I got suckered into listening to this by the high reviews. No surprises, no insights. Gangs sell drugs, Duh ya think?
"Laundry List"
I generally finish every book I download. Could not get through this one. Monotone recitation of what amounts to a laundry list of what North Koreans don't have. I tried skipping ahead to see if it would improve, but all I missed was page 2 of the shopping list.
"Nothing"
Sorry I wasted so much time on this. It received such high reviews I kept hoping it would get better. All the author does is repeat endlessly that you can't recognize the sociopath. She does give such sage advice as avoid people who lie to you, well duh.
Don't know what the others saw in this.
"Stop at the starting line!"
How in God's name did this get such good reviews? Horrible. I admit I had to stop at the 3rd step when Dyer advocated running in hallways in hotels. According to Dyer people who don't like this behavior are (according to him) depreciators and those who do are appreciators. I for one think running belongs in the gym or outside. I consider it common sense and common courtesy, those of you who don't will love this book.
"justabook"
if you listen you will realize justabook is high praise. I wish I could give it six stars. This is the most enjoyable listen of any of the books I have listened to (at least 20). I actually began to look forward to my commute so that I could hear more of the story (seriously). This is the only audiobook where I feel compelled to buy the hard cover. I want to keep it and savor it again. Don't be intimidated by the length, there are very few minutes that are not a delight. There are some things you want to last.
"you won't stumble on happiness here"
One of the most disappointing books I have listened to. Just stumbled onto the title and it sounded interesting, it was downhill from there. Boring, repetitious. Boring, repetitious. Boring, repetitious. Boring, repetitious. Get the point yet?
"Brilliant"
One of the better books I have listened to. The material was fascinating and I learned a lot while being entertained as well. The reading was well suited to the material. I would recommend to anyone, don't be afraid of the science or the technology there are many easy concepts and they are well explained.
"Home Run"
I wanted to get exposure to the story, but had always feared it would be dry and tough going. The dramatized version definitely added to the entertainment value and made the story much easier to pay attention to. I would highly recommend this dramatized version.
