"Gail"
This is the worst Clive Cussler book I have listened to. I got through 4 cd's and i had to put it down. there's too many characters to keep track of and I find myself drifting off. Scott Brick is great as usual.
"Very good could not put down"
Absolutely I get so much more out of listening if the narration is good. I was a bit disappointed in the beginning because Kirsten Potter did not narrate Det DD Warren but being she had such a small part in the book it worked out fine.
Well of course "love you More" where we first met Tessa Leone. I was glad to see her return in a different role. I just hope this doesn't mean Det DD Warren is on her way out because I absolutely love her character.
This was the first book I listened to read by E Rodgers, she didn't dissapoint
She read the characters and I could tell which character was speaking at most times
when the daughter lost her baby but also when Radar gave Libby the medicine she needed
he showed himself not to be the monster they thought
I had a hard time getting into some of Libby's character with all that money and beautiful home and not having to work. I was able to get past that but felt at times she was very naive or just selfish. she definetly needed to grow up and stop looking at the world through rose colored glasses. The daughter was a typical teen spoiled, defiant and definetly not stupid. The father was a total slime ball. I did enjoy the book and story very much, it was emotional at times and like Lisa Gardner's other books there are many twists and turns and you just have to finish the book to find out what happens and how it comes together in the end.
I would highly recommend this book.
"A Great Listen"
It pulled me in and I couldn't stop till the end and then I listened to it againLisa Gardner has a way of bringing out all your emotions with great characters.
Tesse Leone was a great character she seemed so fragile in the beginning but she is anything but especially training to fight at the academy. Det. DD Warren is great i LOVE her character but only when Kirsten Potter is narrating.this is a story about what a mother would do to save her child and the emotions run high.It also has a bit of humor with DD Warren being pregnant.
I would give them a 10 if I could. I cannot listen to a book that Kirsten Potter was not Det DD Warren. Katie Mac Nichol has a soft sweet voice the opposite of Potter. together they worked well
Yes it certainly made me cry and even laugh a little
This is on my top ten books to listen to and I'm sure I will listen to it again.
"Outstanding"
It took me two times to get into this book but then it took hold and didn't let me go.
I miss it like an old friend, its that kind of book.
the narration could not have been better. I was raised in NYS and never experienced the
discrimination of the the south. Even though this is a fiction I know that this type of narrow-mindedness took place and still does. I laughed and I cried all through this book, the experience of listening to this was amazing, I loved some of the characters and hated others and thought others to be very shallow and afraid of speaking what they really felt in order to be accepteded. It was a really great book, one of the best.
"marmax"
I got sucked right into this series it is so good. I love Lorelei King as narrator, thats why i started this series in the first place. By the time I got to the 6th book I knew I world not be happy with the ending, With no new books on the horizon. Mercy Thompson's life does not do happily ever after. But there is hope for these characters yet, and I would happily recommend this series to anyone who likes colorful characters and a little magic.
Best if read in order.
