As granddaughters of a late, famous literary critic, the beautiful redheaded Heller sisters capture the attention of the New Yorker magazine, which promptly features them in a glamorous spread shot by a world-famous photographer. The fashion world sits up and takes notice, and in no time flat, three nobodies from Brooklyn have been proclaimed the new "It" girls.

In Jury of One, Shelly Trotter, an able and determined lawyer and a children's rights advocate, is thrust into a world in which she's completely unschooled - the criminal court. Her client is a seventeen-year-old accused of killing a policeman, and she begins to suspect that he may have been involved in an undercover operation to entrap dirty cops, though his role in the scheme remains unclear. Was he the target or the bait - and what does the prosecution really have against him?

Don't bother with this book. I only got through the first 25 minutes before giving up, largely because of the narrator.

Lola Santisi is a 26-year-old member of Hollywood Royalty (Papa's vying for Best Director Oscar number two, and Mom's a fixture at The Ivy). She suffers from "actorholism" (a fatal addiction to dating hunky actors) and CDD (Career Deficit Disorder, an epidemic among children of Hollywood Royalty).

    "Bad narration"
    Overall

The story was predictable, but fine for the genre. The problem with this audiobook was the narration. Her "voice" for characters like Julian was intolerable. And her mispronunciations were distracting. How was this allowed on audible?
