When Palmer Stoat notices the black pickup truck following him on the highway, he fears his precious Range Rover is about to be carjacked. But Twilly Spree, the man tailing Stoat, has vengeance, not sport-utility vehicles, on his mind. Idealistic, independently wealthy and pathologically short-tempered, Twilly has dedicated himself to saving Florida's wilderness from runaway destruction. He favors unambiguous political statements -- such as torching Jet-Skis or blowing up banks -- that leave his human targets shaken but re-educated.

Geoffrey Cubbin, facing trial for embezzling millions from Trenton's premier assisted-living facility, has mysteriously vanished from the hospital after an emergency appendectomy. Now it's on Stephanie to track down the con man. Unfortunately, Cubbin has disappeared without a trace, a witness, or his money-hungry wife. Rumors are stirring that he must have had help with the daring escape...or that maybe he never made it out of his room alive.

What disappointed you about Notorious Nineteen?

MOre of the same as others in series - Stephanie needs to get another crazy job - Evanovich is a creative writer - but she should stick to this same genre and not go romantic as she has in past - those are BAD

This time out, the proper Southern lady has a couple doozies on her plate. It seems that her friend Hazel’s PI husband, J.D,. has gotten himself in some trouble in West Virginia - and he’s one tirade away from landing in a jail cell. Meanwhile, a crew of misfits has followed wealthy Agnes Whitman back to Abbotsville, and they have all the makings of a crazy religious cult!

She was a blond goddess, a box office megastar. Every woman wanted to be her; every man wanted to bed her. But over a year ago Devon Stafford vanished without a trace. As a biographer, Jake Gannon taught himself to follow the clues of a person's life story like a detective. As an ex-Marine, he is accustomed to being firmly in control. But when his car dies in a little town called Mare's Nest on the Carolina coast, he has to admit he's come to a dead end.

Rose says: "Too much mental foreplay. Not enough substance."
"Heart of Dixie, Mismatch, White knight"
    Overall

Tami Hoag's romance novels are really bad ...... .while her mysteries are very good so hope she will stick with the latter and NEVER return to the former. I bought 3 of her early novels (inane romance genre) and could not plow thru any of them.
