"Aftermath: Disappointment"
Not sure. It was pretty slow moving and disjointed and at times, difficult to follow.
Ms. Brown could have made the sub-plots less erratic and more cohesive to the overall story. In this book, her sub-plots seemed to jump around all over the place, the characters did not seem to have real depth and the sub-plots did not unify the whole story. Also, the end was anti-climatic.
I did not like the narrator. Many times I sat the audiobook down because I could not get pass the narrator's voice in this book. Not enough variations between the characters' voices.
Toya did not belong in this story. She did not seem to fit in well. Her story seemed to be an after-thought.
I really liked the White Lines I and White Lines II series. The characters seemed alive and less forced in those two books. I bought Snapped: Aftermath because I thoroughly enjoyed the White Lines series. I was disappointed with this book and I will not buy Snapped.
"Entertaining!"
The audio edition of What Love Tastes Like is better than the print version because of the narrator's ability to bring realism to all of the characters and move the book at a nice pace.
I liked the part where the main character and her father realize their love for one another.
Patricia is great as always!!
What Love Tastes Like
I like Zuri Day! This was my first book by her.
"The drama never stopped!"
I like the audio edition of Street Divas. It moved fast and was well paced. If reading the print, it is possible to sit the book down and not read in between intervals.
I like how realistic Tashara's response was portrayed after her victimization.
There were so many well spoken narrators!
I think Street Divas is the appropriate name for this book.......
The author does a great job with these street fiction books, and it is nice to see her write so well as a romance noveistl under her real name. Google this author!!
"Very good follow up!"
Women with vengeance!
Hustlin Divas, Street Divas - both by the same author. All three books was sequenced.
There were many narrators, and each performed well and realistically.
I would take Lucifer out to dinner. While she has angst, she is honest with herself about her feelings. Lucifer has heart; she is ready to defend herself and against the wrongs in life, even when she knows better about what is right and wrong.
Great trilogy! I am looking forward to the 4th book!!
"Keeps you interested"
Although I liked this book, I would not listen to this book again because I did not like how the the child's voice was narrated.
The memorable moments of this book was when Emma's husband almost found them, and then the climax
My favorite character was Preston. He had a lot of presence and the author did a great job with his character development.
No, it wasn't and that was okay.
"Not for the faint of heart!"
Yes, I would recommend this book to others because the storyline has energy.
My favorite character is Animal, of course!
I can't pick a character that Cary Hite performed better or was my favorite.
At least one of the most memorable characters is Frankye. She had pride and guts.
This is a bloody and violent novel. If you have a faint heart, brace yourself!
"Nice sequel in the Whiskey Creek series!"
Yes, I think the audio edition brings life to both the book and series.
When and how everyone finds out about the big secret.
I think she is a good narrator.
Sort of. However, I enjoyed listening to it in multiple sittings.
Nice sequel. Worth the money.
"Great Listen!!"
Great character development!
The ending is not what you will expect!
The reader brings a lot of life to each of the characters.
Karma!!
Highly recommend this book to others. This writer is the best!!
"An okay read with a somewhat predictable ending!"
I did not like the beginning chapter of the book, but as the book progressed, the beginning chapter made sense.
For sure! I have all of her books and I think she is the best writer ever!
Her voice works!
No, because this is not one of the strongest books in the series.
Love Brenda Novak's books and will continue to buy them.
"Overall, great suspenseful story!"
Yes, I would listen to this story again because it was highly suspenseful and filled with lots of intrigue.
I am not sure. All of this author's books have the right mixture and balance between romance and suspense.
There are at least two scenes that will definitely surprise the listener!
One scene caused to me gasp with shock!
Worth the credit!
"A Trilogy of Crushes"
Have fun with this erotic and slow-burn listening!
All three stories kept the listener interested and all three stories had good endings. Michele Grant's White Mocha pulls to your imagination> Cydney Rax's From One Lover to Another is fun with unexpected twists. Lutishia Lovely's Wanted: You has an unexpected ending.
Yes, I am familiar with narrator Corey Allen. All of the narrators did a great job.
The last story was really good. It made me want to listen to it in one setting.
