  • Screw It, Let's Do It: Lessons in Life and Business

    • UNABRIDGED (6 hrs and 31 mins)
    • By Richard Branson
    • Narrated By Adrian Mulraney
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Richard Branson is an iconic businessman. In Screw It, Let’s Do It, he shares the secrets of his success and the invaluable lessons he has learned over the course of his remarkable career. As the world struggles with the twin problems of global recession and climate change, Richard explains why it is up to big companies like Virgin to lead the way in finding a more holistic and environmentally friendly approach to business.

MDTruman says: "Screw it, I just wasted my money!"
    "Great Courage – Simply inspiring"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. If you have a Dream you can make it come true – have the courage to step outside the square.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Screw It, Let's Do It?

Orangising business deals from his dorm room and using the pay phone to contact the Big Wigs.

Which character – as performed by Adrian Mulraney – was your favorite?

    Sir Richard

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No - a bit too long for on sitting.

    Any additional comments?

It’s clear from the start that Sir Richard Branson was not ordinary kid! Sir Richard shows great courage at such a young age to embark upon the business world with nothing but Big Dreams and coins in his pocket for the pay phone. This is what the ‘Success Coach Gurus’ preach – take action with what you have at the time – don’t wait for everything to be ‘perfect’ before you start. It’s the theme for the whole book – the courage to just do it! Great listen – I thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Todd says: "Uplifting"
"Enhance your life – no matter how happy you are"
Where does The Gratitude Effect rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The Gratitude Effect is certainly one of the best audiobooks I’ve listened to, and I can confirm I’ve listened to many.

What did you like best about this story?

A simple message, timeless and one that we all know. Easy and pure – 'gratitude' is something we all need to apply to our daily lives for even the minor things we sometimes take for granted.

Which character – as performed by Erik Synnestvetd – was your favorite?

Dr Demartini - what an amazing and fortunate life he has had so far. I also really liked the references to his late wife 'Athena Starwoman' a fellow Australian.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from The Gratitude Effect?

I am now committed to seeing and acknowledging the great things big and small that I experience daily.

    Any additional comments?

I'm very excited and looking forward to seeing Dr Demartini this Saturday 4th August in Sydney. This will be the first time for me to attend a Dr Demartini seminar.

    "Practise makes Perfect"
Would you listen to The Answer again? Why?

Yes! Repetition makes perfect! I loved the meditations and affirmations.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The author - by taking the extra step that so many do not! Great work . . .

    Which scene was your favorite?

Chapter 6 – the guided meditation on how to make it all happen.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The realization that I can make it ALL happen – if I really put my mind to it!

    Any additional comments?

I loved ‘The Secret’ and this is like an extension of that. After reading Napoleon Hills’ ‘Think and Grow Rich’ and many others in the same league – this is the ideal ‘ADD ON’ to all of the motivational books you’ve read.

  • KaChing: How to Run an Online Business that Pays and Pays

    • UNABRIDGED (7 hrs and 59 mins)
    • By Joel Comm
    • Narrated By Walter Dixon
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

The Web is a powerful “money button” that can connect you with vast networks of customers, solidify your business image, and create continual growth. The key is in knowing how to install that button effectively. In an era of blogging, social networking, message boards, and web sites for every subject under the sun, it’s difficult to figure out which Internet tools are the ones that will make your virtual register go “KaChing!”

Juder Kuipers says: "The title is misleading"
"One of many out there, this ones worth a listen"
Would you try another book from Joel Comm and/or Walter Dixon?

What was most disappointing about Joel Comm’s story?

Not enough new and original content, however - website recommendations were very useful

Would you listen to another book narrated by Walter Dixon?

What did you take away from KaChing that you can apply to your work?
