Defiant Highland beauty Fiona Sinclair is shocked by her brothers’ treachery. To seal a fragile truce, they have traded her hand in marriage to their sworn enemy, a man she has never met, a man she was raised to despise. With no choice but to wed, Fiona makes her own private vow: Though she may sacrifice her freedom, she will never surrender her heart. Commanded into marriage by the king, Myles Campbell is no more willing than his reluctant bride. Still, she is a rare beauty, passionate enough to warm even the coldest marriage bed.

If you could sum up Highland Surrender in three words, what would they be?

    Romance, Mystery, Intrigue.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Highland Surrender?

The most memorable moment was when the truth about what happened to Fiona's mother became evident.

Have you listened to any of Sarah Coomes’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first time I have heard a book narrated by Sarah Coomes and I thought she did an excellent job.

    Any additional comments?

This is the first book by Tracy Brogan I have listened to and I was very pleased.
She caught the atmosphere of the time extremely well. Very descriptive writing and the characters where extremely believable.
There are twists and turns Fiona is not just a one dimentional character. She is a woman any man I feel could fall for given time lol. And as for Myles he is a man I could fall for..

Loved how she bought this book to life and I do so hope she writes some more in this style. The book had twists and turns which made it very engaging. Not just a romance. I would definitely recommend this book.

Yes I think I will again one day

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Once and Future King?

When The Wart was turned into a bird and spent the night with the castles hunting birds.

Have you listened to any of Neville Jason’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first time I have listened to this narrator. But I find him excellent he makes the book so easy to listen to. It is nice to hear someone who can use such great intonation.

    Any additional comments?

I have found this a very entertaining book. The characters all are very interesting.
The story of how The Wart meets Merlin is sad yet funny.
I find Merlin to be an extremely likable character, he really lightens the book.
It is interesting to hear the early years of Arthur (known as The Wart) in this book.
Definitely looking forward to the next book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    NA

    Any additional comments?

This is one of many book in the Cadfael series. I must admit to having to listen very carefully at times, but my memory is not the best, so I would have to go back occasionally to work out who did what to whom.
But all in all a great book.

Where beautiful but bold Lillian Bowman quickly learned that her independent American ways weren’t entirely “the thing.” And the most disapproving of all was insufferable, snobbish, and impossible Marcus, Lord Westcliff, London’s most eligible aristocrat.

What did you like best about It Happened One Autumn? What did you like least?

The book had some good moments. Sadly it just went on too long. Lillian started off being a strong character, but I feel she just fell to pieces as the story continued.

What did you like best about this story?

The Wallflowers where the best part of the story. Wish she had dealt with them more fully.

What didn’t you like about Rosalyn Landor’s performance?

The narrator just ruined the book for me. She just couldn't get the character voices right, she was very grating. Made Lord Marcus sound attrocious. In fact her male voices were all terrible.

Did It Happened One Autumn inspire you to do anything?

She pretty much described there love making the same each time and I really didn't like her ufinisims for there bodily parts.

    Any additional comments?

I will not buy another book with this narrator
