Lt. Col. Jon Smith, an army research doctor and secret agent attached to Covert-One, is tapped to lead a team to Wednesday Island, an icy patch of land between the northern coast of Canada and the Earth's magnetic Pole. There, the remains of a mysterious plane were discovered during a routine educational expedition. The plane seems to be a Russian spy plane, and the Russian government secretly revealed to the U.S. president that a lot of very dangerous anthrax may be on board.

I'm glad that Covert One is still in action (since Robert Ludlum's passing). Keep Jon Smith coming!

Where does Tom Clancy Presents: Act of Valor rank among all the audiobooks you???ve listened to so far?

I've listened to a ton of Clancy, Coonts, and Cussler. This was a great story. Extremely fast-paced.

What did you like best about this story?

Gives a different take on the "Navy SEAL" stereotype. Nice to know SEALs are people too.

Have you listened to any of Steven Weber???s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Steven Weber is a great reader. Not exactly Scott Brick, but even Scott Brick wasn't always Scott Brick. Weber does a great job moving from character to character and accent to accent.

    Any additional comments?

I'm sure I'll be disappointed when I get around to seeing the movie.

Braverman Shaw, "Bravo" to his friends, always knew his father had secrets. But not until his mysterious death does Bravo discover the enormity of his father's hidden life as a high-ranking member of the Order of Gnostic Observatines, a sect founded by followers of St. Francis of Assisi and believed to have been wiped out centuries ago.

Eric Van Lustbader has done well in picking up Robert Ludlum's Bourne series--the only reason I purchased this book. He has been added to my list of favorites authors. I look forward to his next book.
