I had been wondering about the final 3 characters in the Hell's Eight series as they are very side line mentions in the first novels. Not that engaged with them even now. This felt more like "well, I did say eight so I have to deliver...."

The narrator really did NOT help. Her efforts at doing a male voice = FAIL.
They all sounded terrible. I would have preferred she just read the story as her speaking voice was pleasant.

I hope the next Hell's Eight character gives Ms. McCarty a more catching story to present.

Basically this sounded like the same scene on repeat. I didn't even finish the blessed thing. I will NOT be even considering anything else from this author.
As for returning I did not look into the possibility soon enough so my own fault on that score. Oh well, wish there was a way to delete it permanently from my library.

The narrator's talent and voice was enjoyable yet, in my opinion, not suited to the material. I found all 3 stories choppy and just not engaging. I found my attention wandering. The world created in these stories just fell flat for me. I don't believe I will try this author again.

I would not bother with Carl East again, poor plot and not very engaging or exciting. Pass on this one is my recommendation.

Maybe if it was a John Wayne style story the narrator would suit.....for this NOT BLESSED
WAY !!! Horrible. Rate it.....I would rather get my credit back. I have almost all the Sherrilyn Kenyon audiobooks and many other titles/authors.....this is the WORST.
