The basic plot of the story was great.... Young woman left at the alter because her fiancé was gay then falls in love with his best friend. But adding in the epilepsy and the crash that killed her mom went too far. Sometimes a more simple story is better.
More insight into the mysterious Four is always appreciated! These short stories just enhance an already great trilogy of books.
I just was not crazy about the story or the narrator from page 1. I couldn't get past the first couple of chapters....
Just don't buy the book. Seriously, don't do it. It is not written well, it is not realistic, and the story is not good. I didn't even finish 30 minutes of it.
At first I thought that the fire jumping would be a secondary plot, more of a complement to the story. However, the fire jumping and the story of the building relationship are so intertwined that I can't wait to hear what's next. Normally I only listen to the books when I'm driving, but I found myself listening to this story at home trying catch a couple. Of minutes here and there. Sometimes I am bothered when there are too many twists in a story.... While this book has several different twists and story lines going on at the same time, I haven't been lost yet and the twists just add to what is already a great story. Highly recommended. One of Nora Roberts' best yet.
Everytime I thought I had the series figured out, another twist came in. Such an exciting plot with well developed characters. The imagery was amazing making me able to clearly picture every detail. Great series!
