The concepts introduced by the book were exciting but the ending was disappointing. The ending; however, did not stop me from buying The Fall of Hyperion to see what happens next.
The book introduced an interesting concept of parallel cities; however, the concept was confusing and extremely difficult to visualize.
A great book with an interesting story and a great ending.
With all of the circular logic this book is somewhat difficult to follow. I thought that all of the characters were idiots and there was no point to the story. However, if you enjoy movies and books with surprise endings, this is the book for you. Just make sure you're paying attention!
Some might argue with the way Industrial Tycoons are portrayed in this book, but Ayn Rand does an excellent job of explaining her philosophy of "objectivism" through the situations and characters of the book. The book is extremely well-written and grabs your attention. Once you start listening, you will not be able to stop!
