It feels ridiculous to say "hey, guess what? grapes of wrath is a really good book", but i found myself saying it repeatedly. Also, the narration is performed and paced so well that it's hard to imagine the book without it. The harmonica music is too loud, but that hardly detracts from one of the best audiobooks I've listened to.

Hearing this audiobook is as close to war as I hope to get in my lifetime. I felt as though I were there, and made strong bonds with the characters. The narration is wonderful. Bronson Pinchot captures the mood with a variety of character voices, all of which draw the listener even deeper into the story.

The narration sets this excellent book in an audiobook class above most others. All the narrators are marvellous, and it's difficult for me to imagine that i could have done as well in my head without them. I feel the book was much better for their performances. Many people assume this story will only appeal to women, but i would disagree. This story is compelling, charming and frank.

Unbroken is among the best media experiences of my life. The story is simply awe inspiring, the writing superb and the narration excellent. I have learned a great deal about life in the many hours I have spent thinking and talking about this audiobook.
