Hunter S. Thompson wasn't going to publish this story which was one of his first but was talked into it by Depp. He should have left it in the drawer. But then I don't like most fiction as I get bored quickly so who am I to tell.
Just one point to this book .... just do it. Pity his examples of his loser status doesn't give me confidence that his way is the right one. Sometimes inner doubts are a hint that you may be on the wrong track ...... like this book. But it could help overcome procrastination, especially in writing.
I just got a Flash Foresight ..... I'm wasting my time listening to this. Thats it
Some people believe anything. A book on what angels possibly are would be better but to just say there are angels and how they can guide your life. If you have any skepticism you will not like this book.
Some good rational ideas that work. Didn't finish it because I was healed after half an hour.
Oh my god. this is boring. You might find it interesting in some ways but 10 hours of talking about a health discipline that isn't even accepted by the health community. I guess it can do no harm and some parts were interesting but really, sacral cranial therapy? I think this guy has a bit of the healing touch but it may be better to go a session instead of wasting your time listening to the book.
What a great audiobook. I thought it would be quite boring at first when he talks about his love of King Lear but it develops into a great, honest story of a guy who just wanted to have fun. The ending is heart wrenching.
Why such high ratings? I think these reviewers are related to the authors in some way. Most of this audiobook is telling you how good it is and what it is going to tell you. This is a book from the owners of Men's Health magazine, which is a good magazine, but this tells you nothing new and endless rants about themselves and how bad other diets are. In the audiobook its hard to fast forward to the helpful bits(about 10 mins worth). Maybe in print you can just flip through the pages. Basically its eat protein, exercise more, frequent meals .... heard it before? Yep, of course you have.
