This book was like reading something written by a fifteen year old for a twelve year old to read. It was so ridiculous in so many places! No character development, jumped all around and was just plain a waste of time. It hurt to listen to the end but did so hoping it would somehow get better, it did not.
I seldom listen/read historical books but this was such a great and interesting story. There are so many interesting facts I would listen again.
This is another good story with great personalties, funny places and a message. No gore, or guts, just a very easy entertaining book. I love this author's way of sharing his development within the story line.
This book was fast moving with lots of turns and twists. Personally didn't care for the ending but understand it. Love the Mallory and the depth of her character, well done and insightful.
Intense, funny, surprises
Yes I found myself making time to listen whenever possible.
The surprising turn of events was really a shocker. The book was a bit slow starting but the development of the story was wonderful. Great narration.
Yes, definitely I'd remove all the "he said, she said," at the end of every sentence or statements. Come on, it is so very annoying.
I have listened to several of Robert B. Parker books and most are not this bad with redundant grammar.
Joe Mantegna is a wonderful performer.
I guess it was alright but required continued stopping to get over the annoyance of the "she said, he said."
This has a good story line and charater development. Some good laugh out loud parts.
I liked the narration and CJ Critt gets the personalties right.
This is a pass my driving time with a good story.
Great Detail, Interesting Topics, all tie together wonderfully
It is a long listen and starts slow but really draws you into the story and characters are very well developed.
This book has many touching and also funny places that brought tears and made me laugh out loud.
The book would be a better listen if the narrator were not so annoying.
