Two masters of epic fantasy have combined in this brilliant collaboration to create a rousing tale. This is the story of Shana, a half-breed born of the forbidden union of an Elvenlord father with a human mother. Her exiled mother dead, Shana was rescued and raised by dragons, a proud, ancient race who existed unbeknownst to elven or human kind. From birth, Shana was the embodiment of the Prophecy that the all-powerful Elvenlords feared. Her destiny is the enthralling adventure of a lifetime.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A better story line with more in depth characters and challenges. This is like a rendition of ugly duckling set in a fantasy setting, with very juvenile motives.

What do you think your next listen will be?

    Snow Crash from Neal Stephenson.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

    Yes.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I found the narration performance satisfactory.

What made the experience of listening to His Majesty's Dragon the most enjoyable?

I had some initial doubts about this, but the book turned quite enjoyable. Will get other books in the series.
