Yes, if you like horror you'll like this book. There's something for everyone I like anything that takes a closer look at how we behave when things go wrong.

    Any additional comments?

I found this after reading about the making of the movie. (the book was so much better) Smith did a great job of getting me to care about the characters even though they could be very unlikable. I kept squirming and scratching throughout the book.

As his family splinters, worlds collide, and the police block all routes out of town, Nick Twisp must cope with economic deprivation, homelessness, the gulag of the public schools, a competitive Type-A father, murderous canines (in triplicate), and an inconvenient hair trigger on his erectile response, all while vying ardently for the affections of the beauteous Sheeni Saunders, teenage goddess and ultimate intellectual goad. He's smart, he's horny, he's resourceful, and he's on the loose.

What made the experience of listening to Youth in Revolt (Compilation) the most enjoyable?

I loved the wit of the Nick. The author did a great job of helping me look into the mind of a teenage boy or what I imagined it to be like. I laughed out loud so many times while listening.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, although that would be hard to do.

With the closing of the Harlan County, Kentucky coalmines, marijuana has become the biggest cash crop in the state. A hundred pounds of it can gross three-hundred thousand dollars, but that’s chump change compared to the quarter million a human body can get you - especially when it’s sold off piece-by-piece. So when Dickie and Coover Crowe, dope-dealing brothers known for sampling their own supply, decide to branch out into the body business, it’s up to U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens to stop them.

    Any additional comments?

I've really enjoyed all the books in this series. Raylan is by far one of the coolest marshalls since Wyatt Earp. Im a huge fan of the tv show and have loved exploring the character from the authors perspective. I do wish they had just stuck with one narrator though.

Growing up with telepathic abilities, Sookie Stackhouse realized early on there were things she'd rather not know. And now that she's an adult, she also realizes that some things that she knows about, she'd rather not see—like Eric Northman feeding off another woman. A younger one. There's a thing or two she'd like to say about that, but she has to keep quiet—Felipe de Castro, the Vampire King of Louisiana (and Arkansas and Nevada), is in town.

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

Would you try another book from Diana Gabaldon and/or Davina Porter?

No, normally I love a series because I don't want my books to end but this one left me wanting more.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I went into this really hoping to like it. The friend who recommended it said it was her favorite all time book. After reading the premise I thought I would love it. It sounded right up my alley but something was missing. I can't put my finger on what exactly but normally I can't put my player down because I want to know what happens next and with this story I didn't care. Maybe I don't like it because I didn't believe she really would have fit in as well as the book portrays.

What didn’t you like about Davina Porter’s performance?

I wasn't a fan. I thought her voice sounded much older than the characters 27 years.

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

Yes, I don't want to give anything away but even when I wasn't listening I was thinking about the book.

What about Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne ’s performance did you like?

Im picky with my narrators and I thought both did a great job.
