What is James Patterson thinking?...Is he even reading what this co-author wrote.....Drivel, is a word that comes to mind! I have always been a big fan of Patterson's entertaining, fast paced novels, now I will be more careful. Why do some top authors seem to sell out and release inferior work after the first three or four hits?
I listen to many books and I am hard to satisfy, so when I find something that I can't stop listening to I have to share. I always read others reviews and I want to write one on this book. Basically, it kept me hooked wanting to find out what going to happen. Great character development and tension build up. I couldn't stop for 6 hours! If you liked Gone Girl you will like this. It was better.
Josh Hanagame is a wonderful writer. His humor reminded me of the Wonder Years and gives insight into Tourettes Syndrome. I hope he keeps writing and writes some fiction where he can bring his humor and power of observation of people into a story.
Author took all the good ideas about adventure and threw into a "story stew". Problem is, it didn't work
Original. I listened waiting to find out what the mystery was. I usually only write a review if a book is a 5 to encourage a listener to order, or a disaster to give a warning. This is interesting a low 4
I hated this book. I tried to stay with it hoping as it went along it would get better. But, alas it didn't. I read the reviews and some gave a 5 star so I thought there might be something there, but no, just drivel. I like a great variety of books depending on my mood; science fiction, thrillers, funny, some bios.....For example I loved The Help, the early James Patterson books, Grisham, Baldacci, but I have no mood in me to like this stuff. I have never written a bad review but this. Sorry, to all who loved it I know everyone is different and my opinion doesn't out weigh yours.
Next, I have the last Corbin book to give a negative on
I have found a new favorite author. Unfortunately, I have to wait more. A great beach book. As good as Patterson used to be.
I started listening and was expecting something totally different. Once I adjusted I became totally enthralled. Lionel is a fabulous writer with so much insight and has the gift to portray deep feelings and subjects. This book has a shattering ending, so isn't for everyone. If anyone has a "different" child that can't seem to love and attach deeply, I don't know if this will be a good listen for you or too painful.
I loved Lionel's book "We have to talk about Kevin" it was amazing. This book wasn't even in same league. What Happened?
Good. I liked the characters, maybe a bit too long at end, but you will still want to finish
