I wish it had been only 19 minutes long. It drones on and on; none of the characters are sympathetic.
I read/listened to "The Program" by Mr. Hurwitz, but Mr. Brick's cadence as he is reading is annoying.
Not if Scott Brick is the narrator.
His reading style and cadence is not for me. The up and then down of every paragraph is too one-dimensional and doesn't indicate more subtle meaning like irony or dark humor.
I kept getting all the Russian names confused and ultimately didn't really care about any of the characters except maybe the dog. :-)
The whole story. I couldn't get involved enough to keep the story straight. Possibly the most boring thriller ever and could barely be qualified as "inspirational fiction."
Craig Johnson "A Serpent's Tooth."
Did the best he could. (I know, it's 5 words.)
I got to within a a couple of hours of finishing and decided to start over before finishing! I just didn't want it to end!
I did recommend because it's soooo good. I didn't want it to end, so I backed up to the middle and listened again.
Maggie - listen and you'll understand. I'm a DOG girl.
I liked his inflections and especially when he gives alpha commands to Maggie. I may not have read it that way.
Protect the Pack.
I think this is Robert Crais's best book yet! Maybe it's because I have 3 dogs!
This is one of the most suspenseful books I've listened to and I couldn't wait to get back to it. Exciting new author!
Words almost escape me as a description for this book. It only held my interest because Asheville is my hometown. His type is what we always referred to as "damn yankees." They know everything and are very impressed with themselves.
I'm sorry the rating is no reflection on the author, I just don't like romance novels. I wouldn't have bought it had I realized that. I wish Audible would give the genre of books in the description.
Devastating and unforgettable - there it is. Narration was the best - well done, Mr. Pinchot. This book will become a classic.
It was hard enough listening to the parts about how the women were raped and abused, but then add in dog fighting - ugh! It was a good story just way to graphic for my taste. I have enjoyed many of Mr. Iles's other books.
