If you could sum up Lord of the Silent in three words, what would they be?

    Interesting, exciting, engrossing.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoy all the Amelia Peabody books because of the characters. They are the best part of the story.

Which character – as performed by Barbara Rosenblat – was your favorite?

    Emerson. I love Emerson.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Indiana Jones before there WAS Indiana Jones.

    Any additional comments?

I do wish an unabridged version could be found. When the book ended, I was actually surprised and wondered what had been cut out in the story.

This title also appears as a novella in the collection “Lord John and the Hand of Devils.” New York Times best-selling author Diana Gabaldon, beloved for her immensely popular Outlander series, crafted this fast-paced tale of intrigue when asked to contribute to an anthology honoring the late, great Ellis Peters. Outlander supporting player Lord John Grey investigates the death of a red-haired man only to become mixed up in the affairs of Sir Francis Dashwood and his notorious Hellfire Club. And as Lord John digs further, his life becomes threatened.

From the author of The New York Times best sellers Treason and Slander comes an updated Ann Coulter compendium, complete with reader responses and television and talk radio transcripts (Couric, Donahue, Franken). With titles like "Would Mohamed Atta Object to Armed Pilots?", "9 out of 10 Caribou Support Drilling", and "Liberal Pimps for Clintonism", How to Talk to a Liberal covers Coulter's waterfront on her favorite issues and targets, from national security to Hollywood.

I like Ann Coulter. She is witty and always provides a interesting point of view. However, while I'm sure she's a crack lawyer, she is not a crack researcher and thus my problems with her book. She has a tendency to repeat herself over and over and it gets annoying.
