I look forward to all the In Death books and watch for the next. Enjoyable? Always a new story line. Keeps me listening. Love to guess who the murderer is.
Fantasy in Death
Something was off
Author did a good job in bringing in the other family members which made me look forward to the other books in the series.
Need a narrator who can distinguish the characters. Dave is british however if the story didn't say this you wouldn't know. Was difficult to distinguish which character was speaking.
I had listened to the abridged version and loved the narrator Matilda Novak but wanted to listen to the unabridged version. Was disappointed that the sound effects and Matilda Novak did not perform the unabridged version.
Enjoyable is not the right word. This is suspense. Wanted to learn the outcome so I kept reading.
Jackie. Her journey kept me on the edge of my seat.
She nailed the characters.
It freaked me out. I don't read suspenseful books as they keep me awake. Glad this is a departure for Robyn Carr as I won't read another similar book.
Good series. Great adventure for the senator and LT.
Sam. She is a complex character who excels at work and tries to balance marriage and family.
no. Hill sounded like a slow idiot. The narrator is unable to portray the male voices.
A stronger Gwen. Men who do not force their point of view.
Maybe. She did a good job with Gwen and Hawks voices but not so goo with the other men.
Mitch - he was never developed - no need for this character.
The character Hawk reminds me of Ranger from the Janet Evanovich - Stephanie Plum novels.
Good story line.
Liked the combo of a Senator and the police.
Not unless it is with an author I really like
Reader did not change most of the characters. Ms. Sparer might be a better reader of children's books.
I look forward to all the In Death books. It's like visiting old friends.
The gift from Feeney
All are great. She has a different voice for the various characters and repeats the characters voices in book after book. Sounded like Ms. Ericksen had a cold when performing this book.
A film would destroy the images I have formed of the characters.
I would like a prequel that focuses on Feeney in homicide and Eve as his aide. Focus on Feeney's family and the growth of Eve's career.
Good story of brothers reuniting and meeting their spouses. Appalling treatment by parents who deserted their three oldest and took their two youngest who they raised and never told them they desired their three oldest. Unforgivable actions by parents. The ending where the now grown brothers forgive and reunite with their parents hard to understand.
would suggest two readers, one for the males and one for the females.
An understandable reason for desertion and some effort by the parents to see their sons were given good homes with loving parents.
I would re-read if I want a good laugh and escape.
I'm glad I had bought this before I read the second book in this series. I really disliked book 2 and would not have purchased Finding Perfect. If I had not I would have missed a fun read. Pia is funny and self depreciating. I enjoyed hearing more about her.
Since Ethan is such a self centered butt. It would have been better if he struggled in business and in male friends. How could such a mean, weak and selfish person be successful?
Probably. Not all of her books have such despicable characters.
Ethan's mother was incredibly mean and a gossip. This is a terrible dis-service to small towns and makes the town catty and a bunch of bullies. No thought to the young boy.
Nothing could make this a 4-5 star review. Hard to believe that 30 plus years ago this launched a writer whose novels I've enjoyed.
No. I enjoy a light romance but just not books from this initial publication date. I've continued to look for Linda Howard books but now realize her books from the '80's should be skipped.
