Graduate student Katelyn Gunn is headed for her first day of assistant teaching when she is almost hit by a car. The nervous and inexperienced Kate is shocked to realize that it isn’t the near-death experience that has her heart racing, but the sinfully sexy man behind the wheel. Adam Kinkade is ultra-wealthy, devastatingly handsome, and the most powerful distribution mogul in Chicago - he is also the first man who ignites emotions inside of her other than fear. Adam is a man used to getting what he wants. And he wants Katelyn - naked and often.

What disappointed you about Break Me Slowly?

I just read the Sweet Torment series and enjoyed most of it and was hoping for something similar. Instead it is BDSM. I enjoyed the characters but hoped it would be about how they heal each other. Not.

Emma Wade has worked hard to create a stable life surrounded by people she loves. But when her dark past catches up with her, Emma fears she might not live long enough to testify against the man who hurt her all those years ago. Her only choice is to run. And if there is one thing Emma learned as a homeless teen, it was knowing when to sleep alone and knowing when to partner up.

Would you listen to Capture Me Slowly again? Why?

Yes. It seems these days BDSM is the norm and refreshingly this book is not (other books in the series are).

Who was your favorite character and why?

Reese. At last a man raised by a loving family. He encounters challenges in life and works to overcome them.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I don't care for the narrator. She comes across as harsh.

Diligent, hardworking Paige Levine survived a traumatic childhood and went on to work her way through college, landing a coveted job in the Governor’s cabinet. But when a steamy scandal threatens to tarnish her innocent reputation, Paige finds herself unemployed, miserable, and alone. Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Probably not. I did enjoy the book but I was so upset by her friends betrayal (Amy & the Gov.) who just cut Paige out of their lives with no effort to tell her what they felt they needed to do then once the investigation was over, poof, wanted her back in.

Would you recommend Only You to your friends? Why or why not?

No. See above. I loved Amy & the Gov. in book one of the series then was disappointed with them in book 2.

How could the performance have been better?

Different narrator. Angela Dawe has an annoying style.

Did Jeffrey Kafer do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

No. Females did not sound like females. The narrator has a good voice but he reads rather than performs the story.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

    Not sure.

What could Maya Banks have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Develop the struggles Swany experienced and reasons he chose not to have corrective surgery especially when it was apparent how much his disfigurement bothered him. The romance was too quick. The acceptance of her family of Swany was not believable.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I was looking forward to the next chapter in the series but was disappointed with all aspects of the story. I hate the southern accent the narrator uses, Swany sounds ignorant and immature.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Disappointment.
