"At a loss"
Yes. I've like so many of Jayne Ann Krentz books I would try again.
No but I felt it started mid story. It made me wish I knew where to find the beginning.
Yes if I like the author.
I'm going to try to re-read this and hope I can follow or get hooked.
"Another great In Death book!"
Way up there. I look forward to each new book.
The audio was off. Sounded tinny. Susan Ericksen is great but the recording was very poor.
no
This needs to be rerecorded. Don't use the sound engineer again who recorded this book.
"Roark's voice is different"
I look forward to all the In Death books and watch for the next. Enjoyable? Always a new story line. Keeps me listening. Love to guess who the murderer is.
Fantasy in Death
Something was off
"Another great visit to Serenity!"
I love this narrator. The narrator can make or break an audiobook and this one does not use a fake southern accent. It was good to hear more about Elliott and Karen.
Elliotts family and his struggle to break away from old family traditions and expectations
All the characters are unique and real. A prior narrator made Mattie sound harsh and unapproachable. She's the character I like updates on the most.
no.
The ending was not believable. After spending the entire book on Karen's worry about money, it wasn't believable that she would go gambling in Vegas.
"Wonderful addition to a great series"
Better than many. Nice easy read. Feels like an update on old friends. Made me want to re-read the book where the main character was introduced.
Yes. Light reading with likable, real characters
Mattie
"Love the Series"
I love the ongoing characters.
Additions to all the characters lives
Would rather not. The accents set my teeth on edge. Where on earth does Toms accent come from? Sounds like a bit of a Maine accent when he is supposed to be from the Carolinas
A "family" by choice with a happy ending
"Another wonderful Michael Bennett!"
I love the series and look forward to each new book. He's very human.
Ongoing characters
Michael
No. I like to spread it out over several days.
"read if you want to be depressed"
Unrequited love. Destruction by friends of friends. Small minded community. Stiff language.
Something entertaining that will capture the imagination and make me laugh.
All characters sounded the same. Accent. Lack of emotion.
I really wanted to like this book. I kept reading with the hope it would have a redeeming value. Didn't happen.
"Glad Audible has this book!"
I read this book a number of years ago and laughed my head off. It was available on tape but not CD and I've continued to watch for the CD or download and now its here. Once again I laughed out load. I found the narrator took a while to get used to but that was the only down side. Some of the references in the book are dated as you would expect from a re-issue but I still loved it!
The antics and smart mouth of the main character.
Rather not
"different narrator"
I've just started the book and am looking forward to the twists and turns but the narrator is different So Lyndsay seems like a different person. Just as I like authors I like narrators and associate them with the character. Disappointing.
"Not new"
I wish Audible would identify the original publication date of books. This was published over10 yrs ago and I was expecting a new book.
