    Where does Ex-Patriots rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    This is easily a top 10 book. Very interesting concept and well defined characters. You are suddenly immersed into a world that is teaming with Super Hero's and Zombies.


    What did you like best about this story?

    The flow of the story and the character development. At times you don't know which side to cheer for.


    What does Jay Snyder, and Khristine Hvam bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    They really enhance the experience. The good characters are really good and the bad characters are really bad, but you can relate to all of them.


    Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes

    Would you listen to The Jakarta Pandemic again? Why?

    Yes...I have listened to it three times and it is a great story. It is an interesting perspective on how "every day America" would react and shows why you should hold off on your gut reaction to some situations. Ted was a great character to hate.

    What about Joseph Morton’s performance did you like?

    Voice inflection and natural story telling ability. I am currently looking for more of his work.


    Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    The collection of the corporate supplies by Ted.

    This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

    Nothing changed. There was no new information that was added to the story and I quit it with an hour left. Very sorry that I purchased this.


    What was most disappointing about James Wesley, Rawles’s story?

    It was a good story the first time that I read it....


    Would you be willing to try another one of Phil Gigante’s performances?

    Yes, but it would have to be a great plot.

    What would have made Beyond the Barriers better?

    Better character development. The lead character is the exact same on day one as the last day. Very shallow and at times he came across as an idiot. He is super fit, super smart, and ex special forces...Nice resume but some of the choices he makes are insane.


    Has Beyond the Barriers turned you off from other books in this genre?

    No...I have read so many that have been great this will no turn me off.


    Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Christian Rummel?

    Tom Weiner or Frank Muller

    The narration was not what I was looking for. The over the top "Bad Ass" was not the right fit for this story.

    What made the experience of listening to The Walking Dead: Rise of The Governor the most enjoyable?

    The story is very fluid, and the characters are extremely well developed. At different times I was cheering for success and failure for all of the characters. The storyline is extremely real in the sense that the characters decisions are similar to what I would do in their situation.


    What was one of the most memorable moments of The Walking Dead: Rise of The Governor?

    The interaction that the group has with the 'others' is extremely intense and I was on the edge of my seat.


    Have you listened to any of Fred Berman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    This was my first Fred Berman book, but I will definitely listen to more.


    Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    The end is very good and sets the table for the next chapter in their lives.

    This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

    This book should be re-classified under young adult romance.

    I was expecting action and instead I got the story of a young woman coming of age…that happens to be set in a zombie apocalypse. The writing was predictable and there were several times that I pushed stop and had to walk away.

    The narration was flat and at times it seemed like they were reading the book for the first time.


    Would you ever listen to anything by Travis Adkins again?

    Maybe

    Courtney....The main character!!!
