I would recommend this to everyone. It has part of a key to better understanding ourselves.
Again Hearne and Daniels delivers in a big way. I am hooked on them both. I have never found an audio book pairing so perfect. I will be truly sad when I come to the end of this series because it'll be next to impossible to ever find such a treasure again.
Okay Mr. Hearne has a fantastic writing style and coupled with Luke Daniels this blew me away. I laughed at times like someone next to me had made a joke. Where are some more from this series Mr Hearne? Also I have to say, I will listen to books now just because Mr. Daniels has narrated them. Even if they aren't what I would normally want to listen to. I think you can tell I'm sold on the author and the narrator. Wow.
I got the wrong impression from this book. I was expecting Magicians. Instead it was a book about humans controling demons and the age old struggle of high society politics. I did listen to the whole book but there were times I almost didn't. I don't think this has anything to do with the book being bad. It was just not the style I enjoy. The performance was very good and fitting for this book. So I gave it three stars as I recognise there isn't anything wrong with the book. I just didn't enjoy it much due to taste preference. I will not listen to other books in this series.
