Steve Martin's writing unlike his stand up comedy always seems to have a depressing and sad undertone. Yet I still enjoy it, its very real and he has a way of explaining the sadness in every day life. This is yet another one of those books that follow this pattern but I will always want to read them.
Nice historical review of an interesting period. Good mafia stories and interesting to hear about Cuba's history.
Is it allowed to put no stars? Wow I was disappointed maybe it was just overhyped I can only use the words horrendous or difficult to read or just bad. I have wasted too much of my life just writing this review thats how bad.
Its really great. And Richard Matthews/Simon Vance is great reading it as always.
