"How cute!"
I will have this near my book so that the little ones can follow along! Thanks for the gift Audible!
It was well narrated. Walter Marrhau did a great job!
"The Story was Enchanting"
I love how Deborah Harkness develops the characters by pulling parts of their personalities slowly and then moving into each of their past lives as a steady pace throughout the book. So you are hooked all the way to the very end.
How each character blended so well with each other whether it was a friendly or not so friendly scenes. I love how the dry humor throughout the book. The tenderness between the main Characters of Matthew and Diana. Yet the strength that is added to the characters.
I love how she kept the flow of the character voices. I have listen to many audio books and she is now on my list of listen to narrators!
I purchase this book on a sale and when I found out another series book. Well I love series, and this book has exceeded my expectations. From the story line to the narration. Just finish the first one. now onto book 2nd and hope that book 3rd hits the site soon!
"This reminds me of a Sherlock Holmes mashup!"
It was a strange way the book was laid out, but as it progresses through the sequence of the events and writing. It made sense and loved the approach of the author. The narrator certainly brought life to this book and incredible ways he approached each character and their voice personalities.
Actually Swineburne was an exquisite as the "I want to prove how useful I can be" for Sir Richard Burton
The way he brought each character to life with their personality and never missed a switchup in voice reconizing each of them.
When Spring-heeled jack knew that his one decision to correct what he thought was correcting his family out come really started with him - or did it? Have to listen to see if you agree
MUST LISTEN TOO!
"It was beautifully read!"
Well compare to the other books I have listen to this ranks right up there at the top. It matched up to the same flow as when I watched the movie. The mood of each character was brought to life and everyone once in awhile brought a smile to my face.
He really did a great flow of reading the book. I could actually hear the voice of George Clooney as he read his lines! Kudos I look forward to here other books that he has narrated.
"Don't stop now!"
How each character whether taken out in a previous book - is mentioned in the next books to keep that story going. that they are written in real time - not well - 5 years from now - no it all happens within the first year and some of Anna's turning!
Keep listening! you will be sorry if you do not hear the whole series
"One Word! Fantastic series!"
Entralling, captivating, winner!
Anna not only brings her braun into the character, but keeping true to her female soft side!
"This is my favorite so far"
Most definitely and I have!
Anna Strong - will always be my favorite. David her partner is also a strong character and seems to need a little more involvement!
The emotions that each character is experiencing. I have listen to others that just read the book. But not with the emotional value she does to a character.
Anna Strong - She is the Chosen!
Don't stop now - get onto Book 7
"Keep them coming Jeanne!"
Most definitely and I have to several of my audio listening friends
Anna Strong and Frye
In the cave scene where she kills the vampire!
Always cheering Anna on to victory over her enemies
"Another winner!!!"
Having the same narrator Dina Pearlman preform the book!
How it keeps you caught up to wait and hear what the character will do next. thinking or speaking outloud - watch out!
Book one: the becoming
Yes onto book 3
"Book 1 - It's a Hit!"
It grabs you from the first paragraph read! You can envision the characters that are in that hot pursuit!
When Anna realizes she is not your typical vampire!
No I have not - but I certainly look forward to listening to other books she has preformed!
I found myself so caught up in the story could not wait to listen to the next and the next!
This is certainly not your typical vampire book of blood and gore - even though there is. But, there seems to be a somewhat auroa that surrounds this series! A must listen to! Dian Pearlman is an excellent narrator bring Jeanne Stein's characters to life!
