When the world was young, and its name was Faerie, the power of magic ruled - and the Elfstones warded the race of Elves and their lands, keeping evil at bay. But when an Elven girl fell hopelessly in love with a Darkling boy of the Void, he carried away more than her heart. Thousands of years later, tumultuous times are upon the world now known as the Four Lands. Users of magic are in conflict with proponents of science. Elves have distanced their society from the other races. The Druid order is threatened.

What did you like best about this story?

The story drew me in and I couldn't "put the book down".

Have you listened to any of Rosalyn Landor’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to this reader before but feel she did a very good job. I didn't have difficulty following the story, who was talking, etc... due to her change of voice and identification of person.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The book did make me laugh though I did not cry.

His interest in her was purely professional...or so he told himself. Nash Kirkland had sought out Morgana Donovan, self-proclaimed witch, to help him research his latest screenplay. The hardheaded skeptic didn't believe for a minute she was what she professed to be, but Nash somehow found himself falling under her bewitching spell. Nash had never trusted his feelings. How could he be sure the irresistible passion he felt was real and not just some conjurer's trick?

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I usually love Nora Roberts books but not this one. It seemed a never ending story about the whirlwind of romance and magic... and I really didn't feel like there was a point to the story.

What do you think your next listen will be?

I will try another Nora Roberts book

What aspect of Therese Plummer’s performance would you have changed?

I thought the performer did a good job. The story was just not a favorite of mine.

What character would you cut from Captivated & Entranced?

Character... well I think the whole story....

    Any additional comments?

Not for me, perhaps others will like it..
