"Bonhoeffer: A Disappointment"
I didn't expect such a drawn out focus on his religious beliefs. I thought it might be more based on morals that he acted the way he did.
Eric Metaxas' voice served the story well enough, but even his reading couldn't drag it out of its boredom.
"Nelson Mandela's Life Story"
I was particularly disappointed with Danny Glover's voice and hence I didn't enjoy the book as much as possible.
There was not enough detail to really grab my attention, and in addition to this I found there was a never ending list of people's names and associations that in the end became somewhat meaningless.
I expected a lot more from this book. The only parts that really grabbed me were the freedom songs that were occasionally inserted into the story and the actual speech by Nelson Mandela towards the end of the book.
"The Forgotten War Remembered"
This book is excellent value for anyone interested in military history and tales of personal commitment.
It is important not to think that WWI, WWII and Vietnam are the only times that soldiers fought for our nation. This war was every bit as important as the others even though it sometimes seems to be forgotten by many people.
"Not Worth Dying For"
A plausible plot and some realistic characters might improve this novel.
It has certainly turned me off books by Lee Child.
This would be hard with a plot and characters like those found in this book.
All of the book.
