Half human, half god, Dagan Krayl is the Underworld's most powerful soul reaper. When one of his brothers is murdered, Dagan must use every ounce of his power to hunt down those responsible for his brutal death. But he must move swiftly - and carefully - if he's to have any chance of resurrecting his brother.

This is the first book of this genre that I've given up on, and I've read many. It just moves sooo slowly and the narrator doesn't do anything to help it out. I've given it at least 5 hours and figure if it hasn't picked up by now, I might as well give up.

Read by the author, The Fattest Woman in Ireland tells the story of an Irish family and their relationships, their role in their community and their struggles-through the eyes of Siobhan, the only daughter. It is Siobhan's story: of her obesity and its creation, of her life and dreams. This story has been called "subversive and strangely fascinating," as Siobhan is a multitude of contradictions.

I'm sorry but I didn't get much from this book. The conflict was minimal, and the character felt superficial. Since this is a totally character driven book with very little plot, that was a major shortcoming. Maybe a professional reader could have made it feel more dynamic, hard to say.
