Richard Sharpe, a former private in His Majesty's army who now commands a company of riflemen, finds himself fighting his old enemies, the French, at the extraordinary battle of Barossa in 1811. Sharpe has been sent by the Duke of Wellington on a mission to Cadiz, now the capital of Spain, to rescue the British ambassador, who happens to be Wellington's brother, from a spot of undiplomatic trouble. The city has been blockaded by the French but is supported by the British from the sea.

I have listened to the previous 10 books and this is the worst one yet.
Worst reader of the 3 I have listened to.
First part is nothing but confusion. It a shame an unabridged version is
    not available.

A new addition to the New York Times best-selling Stone Barrington series. After an eventful trip to Bel-Air and a reunion with his sophisticated (and very wealthy) former love, Arrington Calder, Stone Barrington is back in New York, and he's looking to stay closer to home and cash in on his partnership at Woodman & Weld. But Arrington has other plans for Stone... including introducing him to the child he fathered many years ago.

    Any additional comments?

This book was over the top on a lot of areas. Stone has all the emotion of his name.
Lets just say that the major loss in stones life has very little effect on him.
The worst Stone Barrington book I have listened to.

On the other hand Tony Roberts does his usual great job, and is the only saving grace
    for the book.

Several million bucks, stolen from the mob... all caught on video, with no chance of redemption.

Now one man must face the entire Chicago Outfit, a group of hardened Mafia enforcers, a psychotic bookie, the most dangerous hitman on earth, and Detective Jacqueline Daniels.... His name is Tequila. And he likes those odds.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Why do publishers/ authors feel the need to change what does not need to be changedthis is the worst book in this series . I have all the audios in this series and this is last one I listen to with this reader.

Has Shot of Tequila turned you off from other books in this genre?

    Only this series.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Luke Daniels?

Dick Hill for the male voices Susie Breck for the female like in the earlier books.

Dexter is experiencing some major life changes - don't we all? And they're mostly wrapped up in the eight-pound curiosity that is his newborn daughter. Family bliss is cut short, however, when Dexter is summoned to investigate the disappearance of a 17-year-old girl who has been running with a bizarre group of goths who fancy themselves to be vampires. As Dexter gets closer to the truth of what happened to the missing girl, he realizes they are not really vampires so much as cannibals.

It's never a good idea to change readers in a series after starting with an outstanding reader. Jeff Lindsay is a good writer ,but is not the voice of Dexter.
Two stars for the bad reader, four stars for the story.

Stoner knew. The fiery object hurtling toward the Earth was an alien spacecraft. But the world might never know. He was trapped in an iron cordon of secrecy, for the discovery had shattered the world power balance, setting off a brutal struggle for supremacy that raged from the sacred halls of the Vatican to the corridors of the Kremlin and the Pentagon. The forces of fear and treachery would use any weapon at their command, from mind war to sabotage, to keep the world in darkness.

This is the worst Bova book I have read or listened to.

I'm no music lover and, what's more, I was the rascal they were dying to kill. Me. Shell Scott. "Where there's death, there's hope" - that was gangdom's newest slogan. I was measured for a grave and I was supposed to share it with a gorgeous redhead named Coral.

I have 25+ Shell Scott books in paper back and
this reader is not the one I hear in my head when I read them.
That said, this reader does an OK job.
A better reader would have gotten 4or 5 stars.
