    Emma Corrigan has a long list of secrets, one of which is that she is afraid of flying. Coming back from a thoroughly ruinous sales trip to Glasgow, the plane she is on encounters some air turbulence, and she ends up spilling her guts to the handsome American sitting next to her. He gets to hear that she fibbed to get her current job and that she has never been able to satisfactorily find her G-spot. Then, the plane lands...and the American turns up in her life again. He's the CEO of her company....

    This is my favorite audible listen of all time, and I've listened to many. Of course, I'm not a "classic literature" kind of gal. But there isn't another story in Audible's library that comes close to the wit, romance and charm of "Can You Keep a Secret." I've listened to it twice already. Kinsella's "Undomestic Goddess" doesn't even come close to this, even though I bought it with such optimism after hearing "...Secret." Unless you are looking for intensity/drama/mystery/mayhem - I can't imagine how anyone couldn't thoroughly enjoy the wonderful humorous characters and loveable heroine in this story.

    I really tried to find redeeming characteristics in these people - I mean, I managed to love the main character in Shopaholic despite her being a patholigical liar... but this girl and her friends were just too selfish and self destructive. Charlie was WAY too good for any of them, and it was too difficult to believe he'd fall for any of them. The reader was excellent, and it was fun hearing about life on Park Avenue. Somehow, the author just couldn't make these characters likeable.
