Let's be honest - nobody has more fun than atheists. Don’t believe it? Well, consider this: For nonbelievers, every day you’re alive is a day to celebrate! And no one celebrates life to the fullest like Penn Jillette - the larger, louder half of legendary magic duo Penn & Teller - whose spectacularly witty and sharply observant essays in Every Day Is an Atheist Holiday! will entertain zealots and skeptics alike.

What did you love best about Every Day is an Atheist Holiday!?

Another reviewer complained about Penn's cursing. Unless you were completely unfamiliar with his style, it should come as no surprise. If you enjoyed his other works, you will enjoy this one as well. Buy with confidence if your ears can handle bad words.

Born in 1954 and raised in Gravesend, Brooklyn, Tommy Pitera was a thin boy with a high-pitched voice who was bullied because of his feminine voice. As a teenager, he became obsessed with martial arts and with a religious fervor began studying karate to protect himself. After winning a karate tournament, Pitera traveled to Japan, where he was trained by a martial arts expert for three years.

The subject is interesting, but the story telling is slow and plodding.

We know the cops are good and the mob is bad. The author spends a bit too much time explaining the wonderful nature of the cops, leading to boredom.

I gave up half way thru the book simply due to the constant switching of narrators. Very distracting. If you can handle that aspect, the story is intriguing.

If Ridley Jones had slept 10 minutes later or had taken the subway instead of waiting for a cab, she would still be living the beautiful lie she used to call her life. She would still be the privileged daughter of a doting father and a loving mother. Her life would still be perfect, with only the tiny cracks of an angry junkie for a brother and a charming drunk with shady underworld connections for an uncle to mar the otherwise flawless whole.

I had high hopes for this audiobook after reading the 2 reviews that were posted. Unfortunately, I have to disagree with them. The story is unimaginative and long-winded. Very predictable plot with a cop-out ending. It had potential but ended up flat.

I think the author would be better served if he wrote a non-fiction book regarding his views about the environment. This book was a poorly veiled attempt at getting a viewpoint across. Worst book by this author I have ever heard!! Whether or not you agree with his opinions, painful to listen to.

It was a chore to get through the whole book. I was usually 2 steps ahead as the narrator droned on about uninteresting issues. The abridged version may be kinder to the listener. I wasted a few hours listening to drivel unimportant to the plot development. Perhaps the author was getting paid by the page.

In late 2003, in his column in Entertainment Weekly, Stephen King called The Memory of Running "the best novel you won't read this year." This glowing endorsement of the audiobook resulted in Ron McLarty receiving a $2 million two-book deal from Viking Penguin. Also, Warner Brothers has shelled out big bucks for the movie rights to The Memory of Running, for which McLarty will write the script.

BORING!!! That Stephen King thought this was the greatest book never published surprises me. The characters were sappy, I could have cared less about what happened to them. The only reason I finished the book was I kept waiting for something to happen that would justify everyone else's lofty opinion of this stinker. Save your time and listen to something else.

He and the Anti-Terrorist Task Force must stop "The Lion," an alleged Libyan terrorist with the instincts of a wild animal, the bloodlust of a carnivore, and the boldness and speed of a cat of prey. And listen to Mayday, by DeMille and Thomas Block, the most terrifyingly realistic air disaster thriller of all time.
