Karen White' s New York Times best-selling novels keep audiences up well into the night with their compelling plots and engaging characters. Sea Change is a riveting tale of second chances, forgiveness, and leaps of faith. Plagued by feelings of loneliness and not belonging, 35-year-old Ava Whalen is as shocked as anyone when she falls for child psychologist Matthew Frazier, elopes with him, and settles down on St. Simons Island, Georgia. But her newfound happiness is threatened when her past proves difficult to escape.

    Story

Melanie and Jack are at it again! And with the ghosts in the house, it makes it as interesting as all the other books that Karen White has published in this series! I love it when Karen leaves a cliff hanger at the end, so that the story can continue. Highly recommend. The narrator is great and I hope that Karen continues to use Aimee Bruneau. On pins and needles till the next chapter in the life of the Trenholm's. To quote Karen, "In other good news, there's a chance that the series could make it onto the small screen in a TV series in the near future". I'm so excited !!!

In 1920s Glasgow, Beattie Blaxland falls pregnant to her married lover Henry just before her nineteenth birthday. Abandoned by her family, Beattie and Henry set sail for a new life in Australia. In 2009, London, prima ballerina Lydia Blaxland-Hunter is also discovering that life can also have its ups and downs. Unable to dance again after a fall, Lydia returns home to Australia to recuperate.

What a life to have led!!! Wonderful characters, narrator, and story line! Some people were so critical back then and unforgiving. Beattie Blacksland worked so hard to get ahead and it paid off for her. She didn't let the naysayers get the best of her.

Historial books are my favorite. History is important, I think, so that we know what happened before we were all here. I will listen to this book again.

Imagine that your husband wrote you a letter, to be opened after his death. Imagine, too, that the letter contains his deepest, darkest secret - something with the potential to destroy not just the life you built together, but the lives of others as well. Imagine, then, that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive....

Best book ever! Absolutely could not wait to jump in my car and listen! Great narration, characters - what an imagination by the author! I am sure that the things that are in this book really happened back in the early 1900s. People were so proper and stressed about their good name and reputation, that they would do almost anything to protect it. I was sad when the story ended and I hope there is a sequel !

It's the week before Christmas, and antiques dealer Weezie Foley is in a frenzy to deck out her shop for the Savannah historical district decorating contest, which she intends to win. Weezie is ready to shoot herself with her glue gun by the time she's done, but the results are stunning. She's certainly one-upped the owners of the trendy shop around the corner, but suddenly things start to go missing from her display and there seems to be an uninvited midnight visitor to her shop.

Armed only with a few possessions and her list of universals, Abilene jumps off the train in Manifest, Kansas, aiming to learn about the boy her father once was. Having heard stories about Manifest, Abilene is disappointed to find that it's just a dried-up, worn-out old town. Laugh-out-loud funny and deeply touching, Beth Hoffman's sparkling debut is, as Kristin Hannah says, "packed full of Southern charm, strong women, wacky humor, and good old-fashioned heart." It is a novel that explores the indomitable strengths of female friendship and gives us the story of a young girl who loses one mother and finds many others.

Love the narrator, Jenna Lamia ...... and the southern accents!!

Grace Stanton’s life as a rising media star and beloved lifestyle blogger takes a surprising turn when she catches her husband cheating and torpedoes his pricey sports car straight into the family swimming pool. Moving in with her widowed mother, who owns and lives above a rundown beach bar called The Sandbox, is less than ideal. So is attending court-mandated weekly "divorce recovery" therapy sessions with three other women and one man for whom betrayal seems to be the only commonality. When their “divorce coach” starts to act suspiciously, they decide to start having their own Wednesday "Ladies' Night" sessions at The Sandbox, and the unanticipated bonds that develop lead the members of the group to try and find closure in ways they never imagined. Can Grace figure out a new way home and discover how strong she needs to be to get there?

I like long books that have a story and this book kept going and going - each chapter different and unpredictable.
