Creole Belle begins where the last book in the Dave Robicheaux series, The Glass Rainbow, ended. Dave is in a recovery unit in New Orleans, where a Creole girl named Tee Jolie Melton visits him and leaves him an iPod with the country blues song “Creole Belle” on it. Then she disappears. Dave becomes obsessed with the song and the memory of Tee Jolie and goes in search of her sister, who later turns up inside a block of ice floating in the Gulf.

If you could sum up Creole Belle in three words, what would they be?

    far out

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I thought the ending with all the army entrenched against Dave and Clete became a little far fetched. Probably could have achieved the same with fewer people involved

Which character – as performed by Will Patton – was your favorite?

    Clete Percel

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    The evolution of Clete's daughter

    Any additional comments?

Love the narrator and the way he reads all the Dave Robicheau books . Also, love the character created by J L Burke

What would have made Defending Jacob better?

this is not an entertaining book. It is too long and although it sometimes hits accurately on the criminal justice system it is a very dark story. It is one of the worst audio books that I have listened to in a long time. The narrator is superb, but the story is not good. Perhaps the emotional impact is too great

What do you think your next listen will be?

James Lee Burke, Jo nesbo, John Grisham

Which character – as performed by Grover Gardner – was your favorite?

    Andy Barber

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The narrator and comments on the criminal justice system

The anchor of The O'Reilly Factor recounts one of the most dramatic stories in American history—how one gunshot changed the country forever. In the spring of 1865, the bloody saga of America's Civil War finally comes to an end after a series of increasingly harrowing battles. President Abraham Lincoln's generous terms for Robert E. Lee's surrender are devised to fulfill Lincoln's dream of healing a divided nation. But one man and his band of murderous accomplices are not appeased....
