He is hilarious and his characters are unbelievable yet realistic and endearing little devils
The pure laugh out loud fun and crazy cast of characters
I thought he did a great job and would recommend him again. I was pleasantly surprised.
Just laugh and guffaw
I have read all his books, some twice. I would also recommend Tim Dorsey as another "off his rocker" Floridian, also my birth place, so crazy must be contagious...
Really all three books had me biting my nails, yelling and throwing the book, crying and then cuddling the book again. I loved the mixed emotions that the author was able to pull out of me so easily. It gave substance that it otherwise wouldn't have had. The character depth was on another level. Brilliant. (oops, more than three words...)
Finnick. He was so much more than he let others see.
Effie Trinket - her voice was perfect and I could see her in my mind so clearly. and of course Haymitch.
Both. I reminded me of the equally harsh and believable Japanese novel battle royale, which I believe was a screen play first.
I want to read and listen to all three again. The movies have been ok, not too off the mark so far...
Because I loved his other books, especially Drop City
I guess it isn't the fault of the author. I have a harder time with short stories. I usually love series or really LONG novels with articulately drawn characters.
Most of the time I prefer when the author does not read their own story. Very few authors can do that, and see their work with fresh eyes.
Didn't get that far...
