"When people gladly sacrifice their time or comfort or home, it is obvious that they trust in the promises of God. Why is it that the story of someone who has actually done what Jesus commands resonates deeply with us, but we then assume we could never do anything so radical or intense? Or why do we call it radical when, to Jesus, it is simply the way it is? The way it should be?"

What made the experience of listening to Crazy Love the most enjoyable?

This is a very thought provoking book. It is humbling, compelling, challenging, encouraging, soul searching, and renewing. In my opinion everyone who claims the title of Christian should read / listen to it...perhaps more than once.

A.D. 2088. Missionary daughter Abigail Caldwell emerges from the jungle for the first time in her thirty-four years, the sole survivor of a mysterious disease that killed her village. Abby goes to America, only to discover a nation where Christianity has completely died out. A curious message from her grandfather assigns her a surprising mission: re-introduce the Christian faith in America, no matter how insurmountable the odds.

Mike says: "An intersection of science and belief."
"I wanted to like this book."

What would have made The Last Christian better?

Better theology conserning the Christian faith and scriptures.

Has The Last Christian turned you off from other books in this genre?

    No.

What about Lincoln Hoppe’s performance did you like?

Very well read. Easy to listen to. Smooth voice.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

This book started out well and was actually good until about the last third. The gospel is lost. The true Christian message is watered down, and the premise is left wanting.

    Any additional comments?

This book could have been so much better. It came so close and then fell apart. It makes me sad.
